Big Brother 9: Live feeds report - March 23
It's Easter in the Big Brother 9 house. Love and joy, as well as good will for fellow man, abound. Forgiveness shall fill their souls and friendships will begin fresh and anew like spring flowers after a long cold winter. Or not. We can't forget that this group of houseguests make for a house divided.Did the show do anything special for the captive hamsters? Or was it just another day of verbal brouhahas? For spoilers for tonight's show as well as the Tuesday show, read on past the jump!
Just to recap quickly as the aired shows are so far behind what's happening real time in the house -- Adam nominated James and Chelsia. James won the power of veto. It's expected that James will take himself off the block, Sharon will be put up, and Chelsia will go home this week. Last night half of the house (Sheila, Joshuah, Sharon, and Chelsia) watched the new movie 21 and had a special movie party. Chelsia won $21,000 during the party, so the others don't feel so bad voting her out this week. Not that all felt bad anyway, but now they have a rationalization!
For Easter, the show gave the hamsters all of the tidings -- baskets, chocolate, candy, peeps, egg decorating kits sans any pens or crayons so they can't write messages. The guys are rather ambivalent about it all, but the girls are excited. At least it will give them something to do that's fun and isn't either fighting or X-rated. They plan on holding an Easter egg hunt after the heat of the day.
In house crumbs:
- Sheila says she liked Mike Boogie. For me, that's another reason not to like her. Don't get me wrong, I was a Dr. Will fan. But Mike Boogie gives me the creeps!
- Chelsia offered Adam the $21,000 to take her off the block, but BB told them that can't be done. They said she could invite him on the trip to Las Vegas, so she did. He turned her down. He said he doesn't have a vote this week, so it won't help anything.
- No one is on slop this week and there was no food comp, perhaps because of the Evel Dick appearance and the Easter holiday.
- Adam figured the stipend earns them about $4.25 an hour plus food for their time in the house. They get $750 a week, probably more than some of them earn outside the house.
- Natalie thinks Evel Dick liked her best, but the guys all think he enjoyed James the most.
- Chelsia and James got jiggy wit' it. That's all I'm saying.
- Ryan said that if he wins HOH, he'll definitely be putting Sheila on the block. Good for him. I might have to cheer him on.
- Not in front of Natalie, several of the others talked about feeling sorry for her and how she really thinks Matt loves her when he doesn't.
- Natalie referred to Matt as her "future husband."
- Adam splashed the windows of the house and the piped BB voice told him both "Stop that!" and "Knock it off, Adam!" Hey, he was only trying to wash the windows!
The power of veto meeting is usually held on Sundays, but the houseguests haven't mentioned it. It might be later tonight or may be postponed due to the holiday. I don't think we'll have any surprises. I believe that James will save himself and Sharon will go up in his place.
UPDATE: The power of veto meeting was held. James is off the block and Sharon was put in his place against Chelsia as expected.
