This will only work if they get a good black writer. The writers of family guy have about as much real experience with African Americans as Larry David.

The only way Cleveland will work is if they find an original premise for it. If it is just a second Family Guy with the cutaway jokes and random pop culture jokes, why bother? Just make twice as many episodes of Family Guy and show an hour a week. If the show isn't like Family Guy and just an excuse to give Seth more money, again, why bother? American Dad is still around to do that job.

The best thing they could do is make Cleveland a parody of 70s sitcoms like All In The Family, Three's Company, and Sanford And Son complete with laugh track and processed look and go all the way with it. The Family Guy staff obviously already know their stuff and love these shows, I would watch their homage to them.

THE PITTS was a pitiful excuse for a live sitcom, but the humor would work in animated form.

SIMPSONS writer Mike Scully was responsible. It looked to me as though FOX put the show into production for no other reason than they wanted to keep Mike happy.

Sometimes the best minds come up with bad ideas.

There is no truth to the rumor that truth in advertising rules required FOX to call the show THE PITTS.

One can only hope they cancel King of the Hill to replace this Cleveland show with and not something like American Dad.

If "The Pitts" is a show I think it is then yes it was a live action show, and yes they might redo it in cartoon form.
