Leighton Meester to revisit her Entourage role

by Erin Martell, posted May 1st 2008 2:27PM

Leighton MeesterGossip Girl's Leighton Meester is heading to Los Angeles. According to E!, the actress is set to reprise her guest-starring role on Entourage. Back in season one, Meester played pop singer Justine Chapin in the episodes "The Review" and "Date Night." The character was modeled after a pre-tailspin Britney Spears--a self-professed virgin who happened to have a thing for Vince (Adrian Grenier).

Meester will appear in at least one episode in the first half of the season. Production of season five of Entourage began in April, with a premiere set for September. The show was supposed to return in June, but was delayed by the writers' strike.

I'm excited to see Leighton Meester return to Entourage. Justine and Vince had phenomenal chemistry when they last met up. The return of a former love interest should make Vince's love life a little more exciting, too. Meester's appearance ensures that there will be at least one decent female performance in the upcoming season. Mrs. Ari is always funny, but most of the other women on the show exist merely to look good in their underwear. It'll be weird to see Meester without her Blair Waldorf headband and colorful tights, but her guest spot should be a memorable one.

In that role she was one of the most attractive girls I'd seen on TV, as I kept saying when she was then in 24. I did not know she was in another show, but given the title, I think I'll avoid it.

Entourage also had that other girl, who did not look amazing on the show, but went on to be a 14 year old hermaphrodite on House, and she was also amazing looking on that. I rarely say things like this, as I'm not the kind of guy to comment on girls on tv, but these two were exceptions.

Incidentally, I think someone on House swore she had Lupus, and I think that was the last straw for me with that show.
