The episodes to watch to get you ready for the Sex and the City movie

Sex and the City movie

I tried and tried to get into Sex and the City, but two things stood in my way. One, I have testicles, and two, I just don't think the narrative was that strong. I thought I'd like it because it was about NYC and had sex and women in it and the main character was a writer, but it just never happened.

Of course, we now have the big screen adaptation of the series coming on May 30, and people who have never seen the show, but plan on seeing the movie (not sure who that would be, but maybe there are some), and fans of the show who haven't watched it in a while might need a primer. Well, BuzzSugar has taken care of that for you. They list the 12 essential episodes you have to watch before you see the big screen flick. There are two episodes from season one, one from season two, three from season three, two from season four, one from season five, and three from season six (this is in addition to the first and last episodes).

How many of you are planning to see the movie?

News flash, Bob. That show was spectacularly popular among gay men and they ALL have testicles.

Do they? I was given the impression that they were eunuchs.

Either way, I'm not gonna bash Sex and the City. Some people like it but I never had any interest in it, so my negative opinion isn't worth much.

Well, I'll say one thing negative about the movie: 'Get Carried away.' has to be one of the lamest taglines ever.

I was referring to Bob.

I am not gay and I watched all episodes. Not my favorite comedy but it was ok. Funny thing is the only storyline I really liked was Miranda's and in real life look what she did. Yikes. As a guy with series like this one and a couple of homosexual-centric series you kind of wish the "old times" back before the female orgasm was discovered and men were still men ;-)

Yeah Bob but the real question is: does pea-sized count?

i totally agree with both of your points actually, i also find the narrative to be weak. i honestly cannot stand the uninteresting Carrie fuss about her love life, totally annoying. and what's so special about Mr big? he treated her like shit most of the time. watch the show for the supporting cast though, at least they're more interesting. although out of all the estrogen-charged chick shows, i'll take this one over "private practice" and the other sex "clones" any day.
do i plan on seeing the movie? not one bit. maybe when it's cable.

"One, I have testicles"

I get it that this is humor, but it's still pretty stupid. I do too, still I watched and love(d) the show, because it's a really good one.

It's nothing like a Women's Murder Club...
