Telemundo loves breasts

by Bob Sassone, posted May 12th 2008 1:41PM

Without Breasts There Is No Paradise

I'll have the NBC upfront info later today, but I had to post some news about the upfront from NBC Univeral-owned network Telemundo. They announced their new schedule today too, and one of the new shows is titled Sin Tetas No Hay Paraiso. We've reported on this show before. The English translation is Without Breasts There Is No Paradise.

That's right, Telemundo is going to have a TV show about breasts. This gives the term "upfront" a whole new meaning.

When this show was first announced last year, I thought it was something that Ben Silverman grabbed to air on NBC itself, but it doesn't look like that's the case.

If Telemundo really wants a hit on their hands, they should come up with a companion show to go along with this one. Maybe call it Without Beer There Is No Heaven. Really get the young guy demographic. And old guy demographic too. Judging from the photo above, it's not only about breasts but also cell phones and skirts.

Well, I am, and always will be mexican. Going to work, or live in another country doesn't affect my nationality, and my loyalty to Mexico. I'm sure you wouldn't change your loyalty wherever you went. And in no way I would disrespect the US if I lived there, and I never said anthing like that.

Speaking of draconian measures, I feel that a wall is the most draconian of them. Have you tried filling up a submission for a Passport and Visa to the USA? In total, approximately, it cost 500 dollars, 5,555 pesos, something that families that make just the necessary to survive can't afford.

I can't deny it's illegal, and perhaps some people in the government support it - but still, the illegal mexicans are supporting the US economy, want it, or not. If the US made it easier to become a citizen, or get a working Visa, then the problem would pretty much be solved.

And yeah, your last paragraph is somewhat true. I see myself as a somewhat selfish person, running away. However, I'll be sure to create workplaces in Mexico, as well in the US.

However, if you please, let's call it even. We are arguing a controversial issue that has no place on a post about a soap opera.

Sorry but you sound very ignorant...
The series is based on a best-seller book, and is about drug dealers in Colombia who liked woman with breast and how a girl have plastic surgery to overcome poverty.

5 or so legal mexicans? I think you need to check your stadistics. Isn't the USA supposedly a free country? If someone was to own, or watch, a TV channel in spanish they should be able to do so.

And apparently you think that in our (shitpile?) country we should be watching TV in spanish. Newsflash: Latinos isn't equal to mexicans. True, 56% are mexicans, but the other 44% are not.

Oh, and no immigrant wants to become American. I'll sure won't where I go to work there (I'm mexican, in case you didn't noticed). However, you (and many people) seem to only focus on the illegal immigrants, where many of the legal ones are more intelligent than the average US citizen.

Putting this in perspective, if this show were in English and aired on NBC, it wouldn't last two seasons. NBC always cancels their best shows after one season, regardless of how well received they are! C'mon, a show paying tribute to breasts? What a great concept... let's cancel it since no one can possibly be watching it!

OK... throw Fox and CBS in there, they are just as bad at keeping shows on the air too!!!

No Franklin you are the idiot you and all of your republicans are the reason why the world hates us and you are th creators of the horrible atrocities that th government does on a daily basis, such as state sponsored terrorism to over through democratically elected leaders (read a book) so the fact that you put yourself in the holier than thou position and us liberals in the evil position is the laughable trait

You do know that there are legal Latinos who like to watch TV in Spanish. Your automatic assumption that Latino = illegal Mexican is disgusting.

If Spanish language TV bothers you so much maybe you should get a TV set like mine. My TV has a device that lets me change the channel when there is something on that I don't like.

No, I noticed that conversation veered wildly from the important (breasts) to the mundane (language). Thanks for putting the train back on the tracks :-)

I should mention that my parents speak fluid English and work in management positions.

Yeah, but wouldn't you like at least one channel in your language?

Telemundo isn't hurting you when you can just switch channels.
