Megan Mullally may return to TV

Megan MullallyFunny lady Megan Mullally may be coming back to the small screen! The actress, better known for her role of neurotic Karen Walker on NBC's Will & Grace, will star as the mother in ABC's new series Bad Mother's Handbook.

This comedy is about a 32-year-old woman (portrayed by Alicia Silverstone) who takes care of her 16-year-old daughter (played by Arrested Development's Alia Shawkat) and her 48-year-old overbearing mother (Mullally).

ABC has yet to make up its mind about Mother because the pilot wasn't completed before the network's Upfront presentation. ABC also has a few other pilots in the works. This delay is due to the writers strike. The network is set to announce in August or September which of these series, including Mother, will be part of its midseason schedule.

I don't know the official premise of Bad Mother's Handbook (one can guess that Mullally will play a bad grandmother and that Silverstone will have a hard time being a mother herself), but I'm willing to give the show a chance because of its cast. The three lead actresses have all been in shows I've enjoyed and I'm curious to see what they could do next.

i like megan and i even found her funny in her tiny part in bee movie. but this show sounds like its bound to fail. alicia silverstone if my memory serve me correctly shes the clueless girl and i am not interested in anything she does. i find she has no appeal. but based on the title of the show megan should be the mom that pays no attention to the kids. kinda like how the parents acted like they hated their kids in war at home and still standing. saying that both of those shows are cancelled so maybe that isnt a good idea. but i think megan is funnier than both those shows. but she cant use her regular voice. she needs to stick with the karen walker voice

I absolutely adore Megan! I so hope she comes back to TV!

One of my favorite things she's done is a voice over for a TLC kids show called "Peep and the Big Wide World". She does the voice for an overbearing female duck. My daughter is a Peepaholic so I've seen the episodes with Megan several times!
