Will Arnett tells Arrested Development fans to threaten FOX

Will Arnett
As I was surfing the world wide web over the weekend, I stumbled on a fun clip on the Entertainment Weekly website featuring actor Will Arnett. The caption describing the clip said "Will Arnett - Part 1. How to get the Arrested Development movie made."

Even if according to U.K.'s The Times, Jason Bateman confirmed that the rumored Arrested Development movie is definitely happening, I'm not getting my hopes up too quick and I'm ready to try anything and almost everything to ensure that the Bluths appear in a movie (be it on the big screen, a DVD or a special TV movie). That being said, I clicked on the play button to listen to what Arnett had to suggest.

As expected, the actor puts his comedian skills at work in this nifty little clip. He confirms that the "Arrested Development movie is rumored to be in talks" and tells fans that if they want it to happen, they should try one of the following:

  • Letter-writing campaign.
  • Threaten FOX.

Yes, you've read the second suggestion correctly. Threaten FOX.

Even if he claims he can't be legally held to his suggestion, the actor does strongly suggest that we threaten the network that brought to life the comedy series in order to secure a movie deal. Sadly, Arnett doesn't say how we can threaten the network.

Fans of the series already sent baskets after baskets of bananas to the FOX president a few years ago in order to secure a third season of the show. Since trying to scare FOX people with loads of bananas was done, what should we do now? Send threatening letters to the executives and tell them that, if a movie does not happen, we will steal all the clothes they own and replace them with cutoffs? Change their cellphone and workphone ringtones to that of a rape horn or an excerpt of a song performed by Dr. Fünke's 100% Natural Good-Time Family-Band Solution? Have better suggestions than mine? Post your funny ideas in the comments below. Maybe together we can find THE way to follow Arnett's suggestion.

There's a simple solution to this, barricade all exits from the Fox lot with Staircars until they agree to make the movie.

Yeah let's start a rally outside Fox: "Four more years, four more years!"

I remember watching this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5_Y6Nn-70E - days after the finale aired and pretty much crying at the loss of AD. It contained so much genius on so many levels. I know fans of every cult show say the same, but AD was something truly special.

The last two years have been like a dry marriage, all chain and no ball.

We should hold a fundraiser, some sort of Save Our Bluths type thing

Or there's always money in the banana stand

We should all gather outside of the Fox studios and continue to act like chickens until they agree to it.
