Ex-Bachelor finds love ... not on network TV

Andrew Firestone and his brideThis weekend Andrew Firestone, former star of The Bachelor, wed model Ivana Bozilovic. The two exchanged vows at St. Mark's in the Valley Episcopal Church in Santa Barbara, California where his family's vineyard is. The wedding festivities took place over three days with family and friends enjoying a Western-style barbeque and an al fresco rehearsal dinner. Firestone, grandson of Harvey Firestone of Firestone Tire and Rubber, Co., got engaged to Bozilovic back in September.

And this wasn't Firestone's first engagement. You'll probably remember him from season three of The Bachelor. He was briefly engaged to the winner of the show, Jen Schefft. After breaking things off with Firestone, Schefft got to find love on TV once more when she starred in 2004's The Bachelorette. She has recently written a book entitled Better Single Than Sorry: A No-Regrets Guide to Loving Yourself and Never Settling.

Of his new relationship, Andrew Firestone says, "Sometimes you get hurt before you actually make it right. [Ivana] makes me a better person. Never before have I been so gushy." This news caught my attention because the Andrew Firestones cycle of The Bachelor was the only one I watched from start to finish. In fact, I kept watching because I was so charmed by Jen Schefft. I was really surprised when after all that battling with the runner-up, Jen broke off the engagement. I guess you can see by the title of her book that marrying Firestone would have been "settling."

May God bless this union for years and years and only ends when "Death do we part.". It takes lot of love, companionship, faith, support and honesty.
