Ashley Dupré developing reality TV show

In a move that should surprise nobody, Ashley Dupré is developing a reality television show. For those with short memory, she is the singer/prostitute who was involved in the scandal that brought down New York ex-Governor Eliot Spitzer.

According to her representative, she has no current TV deal in place, however she is considering moving from New York to Los Angeles. She is developing the show with Handprint Entertainment, the same company that has managed the career of reality icon Nicole Richie. So I guess that puts Dupré in the same category as Richie.

One of the formats for the show being considering is a dating format. "They're talking to MTV about Ashley being the next Tila Tequila," said a source. I guess that puts Dupré in the same category as Tila Tequila as well. What would one call that category?

One thing this entire story proves is that anybody can become famous. Coming from a prostitution background, Ashley Dupré has what it takes to become a reality television star. The question is will any network actually buy the show? Maybe Fox.
