I never thought it would happen, but I finally respect Nancy Botwin. Her reunion with Celia was awesome, especially considering that the old Nancy was a babbling ditz when she was held at gunpoint last season. She's come a long way. Who would have guessed that her newfound strength would lead her to a job in retail? I was just as confused as Nancy when Guillermo offered her the Maternity World managerial position, and I was certainly not expecting the tunnel. I'm more than willing to accept this strange turn of events since it brought Demian Bichir into our lives. Then again, I'll go along with any bizarre plot twist when there's a hot guy involved (take note, Lost writers).

How relieved are you that Andy didn't go to Davenport, Iowa? Like Nancy, Andy got in touch with his inner bad-ass and took control of the coyote situation. He shot the coyote, freed the misinformed fisherman and the marzipan lady, and reclaimed his Fall Guy belt buckle. I'm glad that Nancy gave Andy credit for being an important part of the family. Her apology at dinner was such a great moment for her character. Accountability and honesty have never been among Nancy's good qualities. I expected her to put all the blame for her troubles on Celia again, but she surprised me.

The best part of Nancy's speech was her apology to Shane. More than anyone else, Shane has gotten a raw deal. He's been expressing his needs to his mother very clearly, and she's ignored him repeatedly. He's a kid dealing with issues that most adults don't even face. I hope Nancy lives up to her promises and gives Shane more quality time; he deserves it. Our little boy is growing, up though. He was smart enough to ask for a cut of Silas' pot-growing enterprise. Someone needs to be the brains of that operation.

Was the Roy Till resolution too easy? Nancy made short work of Till's threats and saved Celia in record time. He didn't put up much of a fight, so he's probably gone for now. I didn't have time to question this development, though, because Nancy's closing comments were so perfect. She's making "a killing" like she wanted by going through the motions as a maternity shopgirl. It's her worst nightmare, but she looked content when she was telling Till about her typical day. Nancy set things right with everyone in her life and is no longer in over her head. Yet.
