Christopher Knight to host Trivial Pursuit

by Bob Sassone, posted Aug 5th 2008 6:06PM
Christopher KnightThis was inevitable, really. Ex-Brady Bunch star and current reality show favorite Christopher Knight is going to host a new syndicated version of the board game Trivial Pursuit.

I have to agree with Rich Heldenfels when he says this press release for the show is rather odd. It's way too long, the type of bio you get when someone is trying to look more important, more well-rounded than they are. Not that Knight hasn't been around a while, but a list of the TV shows he's done would be enough, instead of saying weird things like "once and forever a Brady!" and "Christopher's successful endeavors beyond showbiz exist in peaceful subordination to his portrayal of Peter and his arguably estimable contribution to American pop culture." Wha? And when talking about the show TV Road Trip, why is the word "host" in quotes?

Anyway, maybe they'll have celebrity contestants on at some point. Maybe Peter's mom can be on the show. It bows on September 22.

Christopher Knight, actor, portrayed Peter Brady, the middles son of Michael Brady. Mike Brady in his previous marriage produced 3 sons. First son, Greg. Second son, Peter. Third son, Bobby.
This sitcom, of the 70's, was my favorite. Because their family was like my family. I had a ''step'' growing up. And not the "step" going up a staircase. (ha ha ha)
But this family was in my eyes "perfect". I loved the relations between all family members, wondering why my family was not like that. Why didn't we have a maid? How come my step dad didn't go away for the day to work and come home after work and love and embrace us all like he really loved us. The Brady kids were dressed in very nice clothing for the time. Most kids in my neighborhood wore hand me downs, or second hand clothes. We only got new clothes once a year for school. 3 pants 3 shirts a pack of socks and a pack of underwear and a pack of t shirts. That's it. And lunch boxes or we would call them lunch pails. Each kid was identified by and catorgorized by their style of lunch box and who was on it. In the first grade I had Bonanza Lunch Box. In the second grade I had a Lost in space Lunch Box. Oh how I wish I still had them.
I may not have had the top of the line clothes to wear to school but I did have top of the line in lunch boxes.
But back to the Brady's, rather Christopher Knight...
Congratulations to Chris! I think finally he is getting the exposure that he needs. He is "type cast". Unfortunatly in a negative way. But I think its a good thing. Really, I would not mind to go down in History as a Brady Bunch Cast Member. There should be a monument erected for this cast and show.
Christopher Knight is not hard on the eyes. He is underexposed and would like to see more of him and some of the others back on the small screen. I have all their movies.
I had the biggest crush on Marsha, like forever. And still do. (even though she is a couple of years older than I). I saw her on CNN today and I was so happy to see her. Like a long lost friend. She looks really good.
I am so glad she wrote a book about her life. I for one will buy it solely because I love her. I tuned in to the celeb fit club every time when she was on it. I am so proud of her that she has set her soul free. And not that she needed to tell us a damn thing about her life, I think in essence what she is saying is that "I am a real person. With real people problems and temptations just like anyone else. I am not a perfect person like Marsha Brady was portrayed on Television. (Can you imagine having to live in Marsha Brady's shawdow for the rest of your life?) She did.
She is brave and strong and a survivor. She is my all time "crush".
But back to Chris...good luck man!

He was the one who freaked out and wanted to break up with his girlfriend when she posed nude with a sexxxy friend of her for a photo book to give him for his birthday :) He accused her of being a lesbian! What a doofus. I don't know if i can find him likeable after that lame rant :)

Oh, and he was Peter Brady ;)
