Despite karma dangers, Anderson Cooper isn't backing down - VIDEO

by Kona Gallagher, posted Aug 6th 2008 8:25PM
Dina Lohan and Anderson CooperWell it looks like Anderson Cooper has started a full-on feud with the Lohans. We showed you the clip earlier of Cooper's "review" of Dina Lohan's E! reality series, Living Lohan, and now Dina Lohan is speaking out against CNN's silver fox. In an exclusive interview with OK! Magazine (seriously, does she only deal with media outlets that have exclamation points in their names?) Lohan delivers Cooper an ominous warning, saying, "this is bad Karma for him."

So is Cooper frightened by Dina Lohan's peroxided Long Island Voodoo? Of course not. This is a man who has been embedded in Iraq and gone knee-deep into the floodwaters of Katrina. Not only does he stick to his guns, but he uses his show on CNN, Anderson Cooper 360°, to get in a few more potshots aimed at Ms. Lohan. The video is after the jump.

Cooper and CNN correspondent Erica Hill joke about the fact that Lohan talked to OK! instead of, you know, calling CNN or even Regis & Kelly. Cooper figures that this is probably because she didn't see it live, since Regis & Kelly is on early and "she was out clubbing" and "was probably just rolling home" when it aired at 9 am. Lest you think he's being harsh, Cooper reiterates that Ali Lohan seems like a nice person and that she deserves better than what Hill calls "a seedy reality show."

My guess is Dina Lohan isn't going to be quite as amused as Cooper clearly is in the clip below. My only hope is she keeps this feud going, because watching Anderson Cooper repeatedly talk about the Lohans while incorporating his Dina Lohan impression is the funniest thing I've seen all week.

I like Coop, hate the Lohans, but he put his mouth on a 14 year old. He needs to get his own daughter so he can understand the self-image issues that girls go through. He has lessened himself in my eyes.

The Living Lohan show exhibits exactly what Dina is. Unfortunately for her, she still can't (or won't) see it.

Actually wouldn't this be karma's way of sticking it to Lohan for whoring her children out to the media?

See, I don't watch AC, because I don't really watch any of those kinds of shows, but I kind of love him after seeing him host New Years with Kathy Griffin, so anything with him, especially if it's upsetting to fame whore Lohan, is cool with me.

He is funny and smart and well read and very well spoken and a quick wit.

But why bother? This just dilutes him in my eyes, especially from the Outside magazine article where he tells about his travels in Africa.

Why is this a story... real TV can't come soon enough.

It's a story because it's so amusing.

AC is calling Dina out for what she is doing. The gross part is that she uses it to her advantage and calls a tabloid to perpetuate her hype machine. See, Lohan fans don't watch CNN, so a call to the network would be a lost PR opportunity.

This is fun :-)

I hope it goes on for a while. I love it when newspeople actually, you know, have an opinion about something that's not O'Reilly. I mean retarded.
