'Sesame Street' (Check local listings for time, PBS) 39th season premiere
We know, we know, you were promised there'd be no math in this TV Pick, but it turns out that the theme of this new season on the 'Street' will revolve around helping the kiddies hone their addin' and subtractin' skills.
No groaning moms and dads ... yes, there'll be math for the ankle biters, but it'll be delivered by a slew of fun celeb guests, including Jack Black and Feist in today's season opener, as well as Neil Patrick Harris (Aug. 12), Heidi Klum (Aug. 14) and Jenny McCarthy (Aug. 15) the rest of the week.
Elmo, Big Bird, Oscar and the gang will also unspool some clever pop culture spoofs ('Pre-School Musical' and 'Are You Smarter Than an Egg Layer?' promise to make us chuckle), and welcome both a new Web site filled with free games and videos and a new 'Street' resident: Leela, an Indian-American woman who'll share her culture with the rest of the 'Street' while working at the laundromat next door to Mr. Hooper's store.
Yeah, so maybe a little math isn't so bad after all.

'The American Mall'
(9PM, MTV)
Wrapping up this teen-erific night: From 'High School Musical's' exec producers, a musical/romantic comedy about a mall employee ('Degrassi's' Nina Dobrev) and her mall janitor boyfriend, who both dream of musical superstardom.
'The Mole'
(10PM, ABC) 5th season finale
The mole and the winner are revealed. Still don't understand the game, but we'll know who won it.
'The Middleman'
(10PM, ABC Family)
Wendy and Middleman try to extinguish – ha! – an enemy known as The Candle by unfreezing an old school Middleman (guest Kevin Sorbo), who has a little trouble adjusting to his modern world surroundings.
'Weeds'
(10PM, Showtime)
Life is hectic in a two-drug runner relationship, but Nancy and Esteban are committed to finding a little 'us' time.
'Jon & Kate Plus 8'
(9PM, TLC)
An episode of 'Jon & Kate' or a sequel to 'National Lampoon's Vacation'? The harried 'rents decide to load the kids – all eight – into the car for an overnight road trip to the beach.
'High School Musical: Get in the Picture'
(8PM, ABC)
The contestants are schooled in how to express emotions without using words. Hmmm ... unless high school has changed a whole lot since we attended, those sorts of gestures will land them in detention.
What's on tomorrow: 'Tori & Dean,' 'Samantha Who?' and more
