Big Brother 10: Live feeds report - August 15
It's a new day and a new reign in the Big Brother 10 house. With Renny leading Hamster Land, perhaps even Jerry will turn over a new leaf. Maybe he'll become the kind and wise elderly gentleman we all thought he would be at the start of the season. Maybe he'll stop cussing every other word and apologize to Dan. Maybe he'll forget the word "Judas." Maybe CBS won't have to blur out his hand gestures.Oh, probably not. Read on past the jump for spoilers from the 24/7 live feeds. Show spoilers ahead!
It wasn't long after Renny won HOH that Ollie and April were already scheming to put Jerry in the negative spotlight instead of themselves. Now, Jerry has shone that negative spotlight on himself for a while now. Even though they plan to throw him under that roaming reality TV bus, I don't think Renny will be swayed by them to do anything she doesn't want to do. April told Michelle that if Renny's smart, she'll put Dan and Jerry on the block. I beg to differ -- if she's smart, she'll put Ollie and April on the block so we can watch them turn on each other!
Ollie thinks that if he tells Renny that Keesha can't be trusted and she won't have her back, that she'll actually buy it. I can't help but think that April and Ollie spend so much time together that they're unaware of significant alliances (like Keesha and Renny) in the house. They seem to think they're going to be able to paint a pretty picture of themselves, throw others under the bus, and that Renny will just sit back and say, "Oh, you angels ... I'm so glad you opened my eyes!"
At first Dan, Keesha, and Memphis were very sure they were all safe. That's changed a bit for Memphis. Renny has been asking questions about him and even approached him asking what he'd say if he was put on the block as a pawn. (No, he doesn't like the idea.) Renny told Keesha that she thinks Memphis is just using her to get ahead in the game. But it appears her main target this week will be April. Yes! In a talk with Ollie, Renny told him he wouldn't be going home this week. But she didn't say she wouldn't nominate him. Renny told Ollie the whole house wants April out. Ollie, loyal lover at heart, says if she goes, he's here to play the game.
Then Renny told Dan she might put him up as a pawn against Jerry. I think she's deliberately trying to mislead them or keep the spotlight off her real target. Renny was definitely trying to get information out of Dan questioning him about how much he trusts Memphis. He ended up telling her he doesn't think Memphis can be trusted 100%. Dan tried to put the focus back on Ollie and April. When Renny asked Dan if he had sworn on the bible for anyone, he told her no. He says that makes him uncomfortable. If need be, he'd rather swear on his girlfriend.
The food competition went down this afternoon. It was something to do with eating things. The feeds were blocked for the comp, but pigs' ears, crickets, and warm slop have been mentioned. If I understood them right, they also had to find the items. America voted that they all receive giant lollipops. So, those on slop can also have the lollipops. Jerry thinks it's nice of America and reminds him of his grandchildren. I'm still a bit hazy about the results. I could be wrong, but it seems that Jerry, April, Keesha, Dan, and Memphis are on slop this week. Of course, Memphis still has his slop pass, so he has a ticket out.
In house crumbs:
- April received her designer clothes and didn't seem all that impressed or gracious. However, in an unexpected move, she gave Michelle a pair of the earrings she received. She must not have liked them.
- It sounds like Michelle guessed right this morning when she predicted an icky food comp based on the wake up songs -- "Monster Mash" and "Eat It" (Weird Al's parody of "Beat It.")
- Renny hasn't even told Keesha who she's putting on the block yet.
- Michelle is wondering what the other choices America had other than lollipops.
- Renny says that her nominations must be strategic. She thinks if she doesn't put April on the block, April won't target her.
- I think if she puts April on the block, April will be voted out and Renny wouldn't have to worry about being targeted by April because she'd be gone!
- April can't think of anything she's done which makes her a "scary" player in the game.
As it stands, April is pretty sure she's going on the block. I think Renny will probably nominate her, but even I can't predict these nominations. They're due to have the nominations ceremony later tonight. I'll add an update on this post when I find out.
UPDATE: At 9:38 PM ET, the feeds returned after a long block. April and Jerry are nominated for eviction. Renny told Jerry she doesn't want him to go home.
