Office actor busted for drugs

Craig Phillip Robinson as Daryl PhilbinSo much for being a role model for children. Craig Phillip Robinson, who plays warehouse foreman Daryl Philbin on The Office was busted for possession of drugs. Actually, he was arrested in June and the felony charges for possessing MDMA, also known as ecstasy, and methamphetamine were just filed.

Ah, drugs and Hollywood. The perfect pair. I don't know how this will affect his standing with NBC, but his character is low-key enough to easily be replaced on the show. On the other hand, celebrities (including minor ones) are caught so much with drugs nowadays it should practically be expected. Perhaps NBC should have had better drug testing.

If you look at his IMDB profile, you'll see that Robinson has been in quite a few movies (most recently Pineapple Express). Given that, I think the only thing this arrest is going to do to his career is strengthen it. He'll do the usual shtick of apologizing and getting community service and then take on larger roles.

imo, i couldn't care less.
he's an actor, he takes on a completely different personality on-screen. that's what i'm interested in, not his personal life.

"Hard drug"?

Laughable. Ridiculous. How's E a hard drug? People take it left and right and the amount of deaths is miniscule. But stars like Heath Ledger and Anna Nicole Smith die of presciption drugs.

It's so nice to see that you know exaclty what the "good" drugs are and what the "bad" ones are.

Not sure why we're focusing on E when he was on meth also, clearly the harder drug. Regardless, it's his life so enough of all these self righteous preachers thumbing their collective nose at him. Get over yourselves.

Hm Okay you are right. I just read that Meth is more on the Level of Crack compared to E.

Still - both rather have long-term effects just like alcohol, and again, the only difference to alcohol is the rate of addiction (which IMHO is debatable) and the way it affects the user. Alcohol let's you work. Meth doesn't. And that IMHO is all that counts for society. As long as you are productive, no matter how doped up you are, you can use.

Wow so he had some E. Him and about 2 million ravers each weekend.

Why is it ok to kill yourself slowly via alcohol but if you want to kill some braincells over the weekend with a couple of pills, you are automatically evil? Role model... LMAO. He plays blue collar guys. So I guess if he would have been reported to have checked into the Betty Ford Clinic, implying heavy alcohol abuse, everybody would've given him a pat on the back.
