Big Brother 10: Live feeds report - August 22

by Jackie Schnoop, posted Aug 22nd 2008 8:41PM
Is Ollie pining for April?I'm sure, more pressing than the results of last night's Head of Household endurance competition, you're more concerned about how Ollie is faring since his beloved April got the boot on last night's Big Brother 10. After all, BB fans are a thoughtful and caring group. Is he pining for the lost showmance ... er, romance? Is he bereft? Is he a lost soul in the guise of a lonely hamster? Is he out to avenge his damsel 's demise?

Read on past the jump for extreme show spoilers.

Well, Ollie hasn't had a chance to pine too much. First there was the HOH comp and since then Michelle has practically been attached to his hip. No, no sex action. That's a good thing, for sure. I don't think I could take any more humping under the covers when I'm looking for brouhahas and people just making fools of themselves. If I wanted porn, I'm sure there are better venues.

My special report on the HOH endurance competition broke down who fell out when, but that's turned into only a part of the story. What's made the whole thing complex is the deal Dan made for Ollie to drop out of the comp. (Yes, Dan is the new HOH if you didn't hear.) The feeds were blocked for a good twenty minutes after Memphis went down and just after they returned, a snippet of conversation between Ollie and Dan with the words "deal" and "done." Then Ollie went down.

And now today, it seems that different people think the deal included different things. It seems to boil down to Dan telling Ollie he and someone he chose (most likely Michelle) would not be nominated. And, if the veto is used, Ollie gets to choose the replacement nominee. That's the basic version. Another version has Ollie selecting one of the initial nominees. It's beginning to look like Dan might have sold his soul to the ghost of April or something.

But it might work out. I fear we'd still be still be watching them hang on the vines had a deal not been struck. Ollie wants Memphis out and Dan, left to his own devices considering who he can't put on the block due to the deal, wouldn't mind at all if Jerry goes home. Dan has told Keesha he won't put her on the block. It's looking like it's probably going to be Jerry and Memphis nominated for eviction later tonight. If the POV is used, it's a tough call who would be the replacement.

Memphis is in shock, he might go on the block

As Michelle has gravitated towards Ollie and Memphis has become a bit of a lone wolf, it looks like the Renny, Keesha, and Dan bonds have strengthened. Sure, Dan is still a bit close with Memphis, but I think he's more concerned with being in with a group which will get him further along in the game. Memphis is trying to tell Dan he can't trust Renny. Memphis has also decided that Michelle has turned into a deceitful little so-and-so. Dan listens to everyone and I think he absorbs it all. But he's very hard to read, harder than Renny was last week as HOH.

In house crumbs:

  • Dan seems to want Jerry out more than anyone else. It seems that the majority vote might support that.
  • Dan admits he might have given away too much with his HOH win deal.
  • They got to eat pizza last night after the comp.
  • Dan wants everyone to talk to him before the nominations. As I write this up, Memphis is in there with him now. Memphis believes he'll be on the block, yet they're making future plans.
  • Michelle, in her talk with Dan, seems sure she won't be on the block due to the deal.
  • Dan, Memphis, Renny, and Keesha don't trust Ollie.
  • Jerry, Ollie, Renny, Michelle (lately) and sometimes Dan and Keesha, have voiced trust concerns about Memphis.
  • Dan previously promised not to put up either Keesha or Renny.
  • All of a sudden Ollie stopped complaining about Jerry stalking him and they seem to be BFF.
  • Memphis is worried that if he goes on the block with Jerry, Renny will want him out. Dan told him he did what Renny wanted last week, he'd remind her.

The nominations should be happening sometime tonight. When they do, I'll return to add a brief update on this post. So please check back.

UPDATE 8:52 PM ET: The nominations are in. Memphis and Jerry are on the block.

If he can't put Ollie or Michelle up, who should Dan nominate?
Keesha49 (8.9%)
Renny62 (11.3%)
Jerry349 (63.6%)
Memphis89 (16.2%)

The smarter move would definitely be to get rid of Memphis asap. Memphis has tried to make a deal with both Dan, Michelle, and Keesha at some point. And it usually involves them being "together til the end". You can't keep four people in the game til the end. Memphis =fail. :)

I am soo glad April is gone though. I wanted to see Ollie follow. He is terrible at the games. The PoV game he was trying to play for April, he sucked. He didn't seem like he was even trying and was way over guessing.

Nice to see Dan winning and still in the game after what he had to do for America's player. It would be great to see him win.

Why in God's name would ANYONE of the hamsters vote Jerry out? I know viewers hate him, and want him gone, but those viewers aren't in the running for the $$$$. Jerry would be the IDEAL person to take to the end...who the hell will vote for him????

Ollie makes me sick. He just lays around...adds nothing to the group...he is sooo cocky. He and Michelle sit around plotting. Michelle is a creep. The other group at least talk about something besides the game. They are the nicest four. Ollie is so bitter about his precious and obnoxious April....he needs to get over it. He is a nasty little man. Michelle is nuts..they make a great duo.

I would love to see Ollie and Memphis go head to head...Ollie is a little coward..he talks a big show..how he is gonna kill Dan if he betrays him. I hope Dan has the guts to tell him "I saved you this week...but, that is as far as I go, schmuck."

Ollie has been totally useless in the game. Other than banging April he hasn't done anything really significant and I find him totally boring to watch. He'll probably just slide right on by to the end.

Like I care who leaves this week. As long as there's a Dan and Renny final two (won't happen, but I can dream) then I'll be happy.

I am so happy Renny wasn't nommed. I think this is one of the best castings BB has done in a long time. She is one smart cookie, and Dan is smart in staying with her rather than Memphis. I would be happy to see Dan and Renny in final two.

I'm not sure I care who wins now that April is gone...I'm SOOO delighted with her tear-filled absence. And Ollie wasn't able to avenge her...I wonder if she'll still have him in her life now that her fame is waning and he couldn't achieve some lame-ass romance attempt to win Hoh. I somehow doubt it.

I still give big cheers to Dan for hiding in the back rows so well and then coming out strong with the POV and HoH...Good for you Dan!

Wow !! What is with Dan? He should have put Ollie & Michelle on the block. They are strong players.. I guess it's Jerry's time to go. I just can't believe Ollie has that much pull with Dan!! MMMMMMMM interesting...

Michelle needs to win the game. She is real good with the competitions. She knows how to wheel and deal. Keesha and Renny Hen need to go. Renny babies Keesha so much it is disgusting. What would be funny is instead of putting the houseguests on slop for a week, take away the mirrors. Keesha will be whining for sure. She is not even pretty. Get rid of Keesha, Renny, Dan, and you got yourself a game.
