Big Brother 10: Live feeds report - September 8

The hamsters are starting to get a bit antsy in the Big Brother 10 house. Oh, I'm not talking about the ants in the kitchen they seem to suffer with every year. I'm talking the houseguests themselves. They know the days are dwindling s. In regard to their ant problem, all they really need do is invite Ted and his spider friends to take up residence in the kitchen!

Dan returned from his big day at the beach before even 6:30 PM their time last night. So there goes all the rumors that he would really be going off to some cool event like the VMAs or something. Watching the feeds after his return became an exercise in frustration as show staff kept blocking them for every little thing they don't think we should hear or things he wasn't supposed to talk about. He saw a billboard for a new show on CBS, feeds blocked. He saw a restaurant, feeds blocked. There were two helicopters, feeds blocked. CBS staff have personalized parking spaces, "Attention houseguests, you are not allowed to talk about production." Then a feeds block. Sigh.

Dan brought each of his fellow hamsters rocks he found at the beach for keepsakes. He's from Michigan, so the whole beach scene was new and interesting for him. I gave up on how many times he mentioned he was all alone despite saying that there were two places set at the table. I suppose one could speculate that Michelle didn't show or refused to go. But I think she was there. Dan has a way of overacting and being all about the drama. I think he might want to watch that as others might realize that sometimes he "doth protest too much."

In house crumbs:

• I really wish Dan would take a page out of the Evel Dick book of play. No, I don't want him to dump iced tea on Jerry. I want him to talk to the cameras when he's alone! It would have been nice if he had dropped us a clue on how the day with Michelle went.
• Jerry spent a lot of last evening holding ice on his shoulder and neck. Since it doesn't seem to always affect him, I think he might be using it as a ploy to make them think he's weakening.
• I'm not the only one suspicious of Jerry's malady -- Dan and Memphis think he's faking it.
• Memphis dissed Hooters girls to Hooters girl Keesha. She told him she has higher goals but didn't elaborate. (I remember on her show bio she wants to go into Hooters management.)
• Keesha has been talking about running an animal shelter or becoming a veterinarian as of late.
• The hamsters had their first clue that an eviction is coming tomorrow because Dan got his HOH camera and had to do his blog entry for the CBS website.
• They're still thinking the show will end Sunday night but BB rarely does that. It's been ending on Tuesdays for more than a few years. Yes, the finale is set for Tuesday, September 16.
• Dan thinks he has alienated any possible fans over 25 that he may have had at the start.
• In between long-winded stories of his youth, Jerry told Keesha she's the one who's been nicest to him of the remaining hamsters. He added that she hasn't always been nice to him.
• Although both Dan and Memphis told Keesha they're taking her to the final three, Memphis talked to Jerry. He told him he wanted to hold his $4,000 in BB gold bars as collateral that if he wins the final HOH, he takes him instead of Dan.
• Jerry refused to give the money, but did give his word on his family.
• Jerry also told Memphis if he goes to the jury house, he'll tell them all to vote for him (Memphis) instead of Dan.
• Memphis told Jerry he wants to try to tell Keesha ahead of time that he'll be voting her out.
  
• Since Memphis also said that to Dan the other day, it's leaning more towards Jerry staying tomorrow than Keesha.
• They had to tape goodbye messages today. Memphis and Keesha managed to say that they were asked to tape messages to each other (Keesha isn't on the block yet) before the BB voice yelled at them.

As I submit this, the Power of Veto meeting hasn't been held. If they hold it this evening, I'll add an update at the bottom of this post. But things aren't looking too good for Keesha. And, while Dan has his private scheming with Michelle, Memphis has his with Jerry. Interesting, eh?
