Big Brother 10: Special live feeds report - Final HOH Pt. 1

by Jackie Schnoop, posted Sep 10th 2008 12:22AM
Dan tries to keep his balance on a Wing and a PrayerWe're in the final days in the Big Brother 10 house. It's down to the final three and, as they tend to do, we've been left with a cliffhanger. Well, we were actually left on a "Wing and a Prayer." The winner of this round advances to the final round while the other two face off in the second round. How long are they going to fly through the air battered by the elements?

Read on past the jump for screen caps and the skinny from the 24/7 live feeds. Extreme show spoilers ahead!

Well, actually they didn't last too long. Jerry said earlier that he planned to throw the endurance comp part of HOH because he knows he can't win it. When the feeds returned seven minutes after the show ended, Jerry was already not only down, but sitting comfortably. Below is what I saw on the quad cam when the feeds came back on.

Jerry was down before the feeds returned

Jerry is still under the assumption that Memphis will take him to the final two if he wins HOH. But Dan and Memphis are still thick as thieves. Dan kept saying "focus on the nose." Now, I saw it go down quickly, but it looked like a thrown comp to me. Memphis went down at 9:45 PM ET making Dan the winner of the first round. Jerry and Memphis will vie for the win of round two together. I'll leave you with a few more screen caps of the comp and a more detailed report will be posted later.

Memphis is misty, too

The final moment of Memphis in the quad cam

Yes, that is Memphis down in camera number four. Jerry doesn't look too pleased, does he?

Part two is over and Memphis won it. Now Memphis and Dan will be head to head in Part 3.

Wondering if that is over and who IS HOH now!

I agree, Dan has played a great game. The sad part is that the jury will not vote game wise they will vote personal-wise. I see it as Dan played a great strategic game and used his resources wisely. He played at the mercy of others in the begining, layed low there after and struck like a cobra when he needed to. All the while Dan remained respectful and very even tempered through-out it all.

You never know with the jury. I always go back to season 2 when Will Kirby won 5 votes to 2 even while admitting that he shamelessly lied to everyone and that he did not regret doing it. The majority of the jury voted based on game play rather than emotions.

What will be interesting is if Memphis and Dan go up against each other in the final. To win, they will need to turn on each other and that will bring all of the secrets spilling out of the bag - e.g., Memphis will reveal that Dan knew Keesha was being evicted and "comforted" her solely as a strategy. What will emotional Keesha do when she hears that? Dan's votes may not be as solid as he thinks once the "Renegade" crap starts hitting the fan.

On the other hand, Dan will finally have the chance to reveal the "America's Player" gig that got him labeled as a turncoat in the first place. He can also use the occasion to point out that Memphis lied and betrayed too, and that strategically, he played the better game.

Although I'd prefer Dan and Memphis in the final, either one has a better chance of winning against Jerry and if they're up against Jerry, a lot less "dirty laundry" will need to come out. It's going to be interesting!

Renny and Keesha were both smart about the game, but ultimately, luck and timing just didn't go their way. Jerry has simply floated and has gotten this far - and will only get farther - if either Dan or Memphis rely on his unlikability with the jury members.

Memphis has mostly floated - he made a good choice of not aligning with Brian at the start and he is making some good decisions in his alliance with Dan - but how pathetic was his POV performance? He had every reason to play the POV in calm, cool and collected detachment, yet Keesha - who was probably a bundle of nerves - nearly beat him. Meanwhile, Dan counted every blade of grass in the lawn, ran a marathon and then took a 15 minute power nap waiting for Memphis to catch up and win the thing. Sheesh!

Bottom line, from the moment Dan voted for Brian to stay at the first elimination to his whisper to Keesha as she left the BB house, Dan has played this game smart - even when we saddled him with the America's player challenge. He is the only one remaining who deserves the big prize and I hope he gets it.

This is what I heard as well..esp the "old man" part, but on other sites that Ive been reading that was address to Memphis as a "stage" fight for Jerry. They will def play that again on the next episode since they always start the show when the HG leaves.

they are both underestimating which is what the old man is hoping and he is going to sneak in the back door. i don't care who wins as long as it is not dan the snake. how can he say he is a christian after all the stuff he said and did

Right after Keesha left the house, Jerry had apparently said something to Dan that ticked him off - anybody catch what it was? Dan replied something to the effect of "You shouldn't have done that Old Man, there's no way I'm taking you to the end.". At least that's what I thought I heard.

Man I really hope Dan wins this whole thing. He gets nominated in the first week. He decides to lay low and let everyone else cannibalize one another. He forms a strong coalition with Renny, Keesha, and Memphis. When the time was right, he started winning and winning a lot.

And now he has let Keesha and Memphis believe what he wanted them to believe AND had a chance to appeal to one jury member already.

The only thing stopping him now would be if Jerry wins HoH (he will take Memphis to final 2) or if Memphis wins and decides he has a better shot against Jerry (which he does). And even the latter is iffy since Memphis is banking on Jerry's vote in the jury house especially with Keesha piss at him now.

BEST CASE SCENARIO for Dan? Memphis wins HoH and evicts/betrays Jerry. Of course Dan should still go after the HoH to make 100% sure he's in the finals.

Gosh there might finally be a BB winner other than Will who I think deserves it.

Mee thinks Dan is becoming delusional trying to keep track of Memphis Acting orders, which border on bizarre. Jerry's memory of past finals is faulty, but not as faulty as some of my comments in Live Feed chatrooms, hee hee.

Well round 1 lasted about as long as I expected! When it comes to endurance Dan will outlast them! I was sorry Keesha had to go just a game plan for Dan to win! Hope Dan can do it! He's a smart game player...
