Stump the King: I Get Letters - VIDEO

by Paul Goebel, posted Sep 15th 2008 8:40AM

Vengeance UnlimitedHere are a couple of letters I got this week.

The first one is from Jackie...
"Do you know "what happened" to a TV show that was on ABC several years ago called "Vengence"? It was about a PI who would charge a million dollars for a job or take the client's expertise in exchange. It was a great show!!"

Well, Jackie, the show you're talking about was called Vengeance Unlimited and starred Michael Madsen. What happened was, it got cancelled. I agree, it was a great show, but only a few of us thought so.

Letter number two comes from Rick...
"This has been on my mind for quite some time. There once was an animated series on NBC in the early 70's with one of the featured voices being Carol Channing she was the voice of a Giraffe and she would call out to a character named Henry. I remember a lion who seemed perpetually depressed and his famous line was "It'll Never work" another thing I remember was the theme music was African with drums and flutes. Can you help me remember what the name of this show was? I've tried looking everywhere on the net with no luck can you help me? thanks Rick in Cleveland, Ohio."

I'm pretty sure that the show Rick is talking about is Sidney the Elephant AKA Silly Sidney. Here's a clip.

Here is this week's trivia question...
Michael Madsen and Mickey Rourke have both played the same character in different projects. Who was it?

Congratulations Adam! You got the correct answer!

Mickey Rourke was in Diner, which apparently had a TV pilot with Michael Madsen also starring as Boogie
