What to Watch Wednesday, Sept. 17

by Kim Potts, posted Sep 17th 2008 5:00AM
'Project Runway' and 'Top Design'
(9PM and 10PM, Bravo)
The 'Project Runway' competition is down to six, and tonight's challenge should prove especially tricky for the more eccentric designers: The contestants have to design a professional look for college students who'll be transitioning into the workplace.

Designer Cynthia Rowley is the guest judge, as Suede, Korto and the gang try to inject a little style and elegance into the wardrobes of women used to wearing velour pants with the word 'Juicy' emblazoned across their posteriors.

Meanwhile, the 'Top Design' crew must create window designs inspired by the frocks of former 'Runway' contestants like Sweet P and Santino. Oh, those Bravo types and their channel synergy.

'Lewis Black's Root of All Evil'
(10:30PM, Comedy Central)
Andrew Daly and Paul F. Tompkins argue about who's mucked up the world more: Gen X-ers or Baby Boomers.

'Bones'
(8PM, Fox)
'Bones' gets all 'Law & Order'-y with its "ripped from today's headlines"-ish story about a veterinarian who's found mauled to death. Turns out the fella might have had a bit of a gambling problem that involved an illegal dogfighting ring, but it's nothing the Jefferson team, with a little help from guest star Cesar 'Dog Whisperer' Milan, can't figure out.

'Human Camera'
(9PM, BBCA)
Fascinating: Autistic artist Steven Wiltshire draws an incredibly detailed view of the London skyline after looking at it for just 15 minutes from a helicopter.

'America's Got Talent'

(8PM, NBC)
Piers, Sharon and The Hoff dish reviews, but it's viewers who'll decide which half of tonight's top 10 finalists make it to next week's penultimate week of competition.

'Dinner: Impossible'
(10PM, Food Network)
Michael incorporates classic Philadelphia foods to feed a Philly block party. We smell cheese steaks!

What's on tomorrow: 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia,' 'Smallville' premieres and more
