America's Got Talent: Episode 315B

America's Got Talent
(S03E15B) "I can promise you some major shocks." - Jerry

Shocks? What shocks? America's Got Talent's Top 5 is actually what the TV Squad readers and myself predicted after watching the Top 10 performances. Who made the cut and what I thought of Natasha Bedingfield's performance coming up!

Here is your Top 5 America:
  • Nuttin But Stringz
  • Queen Emily
  • Neal E. Boyd
  • Donald Braswell
  • Eli Mattson
As you can see nothing surprising. My Top 4 is there and Donald was my front runner out of the rest of the Top 10. I was surprised that Sharon was shocked when Kaithlyn and Neal were asked to step forward. Did Sharon really think Kaithlyn would make it another round or was she ordered to act surprise at that point to add some tragedy to the show?

Jerry told The Wright Kids and Kaithlyn Maher that they should come back next year. That got me to ponder about if there should be a rule that if you made it to the Top 20 you can't compete in future seasons. It's not fair to the others. You had your chance, you didn't make it, so give the chance to someone else. Will the judges really not let the returnees who made it really far go through at least to the Top 40 since they put them there the previous season? Do you think there should be such a rule?

Natasha Bedingfield's performance was really good but it was irrelevant to AGT. Couldn't Jerry at least chat with her for a minute to ask her how it is to be a performer so the contestants get a little bit out of her being there? How about a performance from Bianca Ryan? I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's like AGT forgot they had a first season. Having Bianca perform and chat about being in the Top 5 could have been beneficial to the contestants. Heck, having The Hoff perform would have been more relevant, even if painful to watch.

Who do you think will win it all out of the Top 5 acts? What did you think of Bedingfield's performance? Let your voice be heard by commenting below!

Personally, I LIKE Jerry Springer. He adds a lot of heart and down-home spirit to the show (David Hasselhoff does, too)........good hearts, these down-to-earth guys. Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne add their particular spirit to the judging, too. I think they make a good judging team.

I missed the last show unfortunately.........wish I had seen it, but I do like, first, Neal Boyd, second, Queen Emily, third, Donald Brasswell, fourth, Eli Mattson, and lastly, Nuttin but Strings (which in recent performances has included a lot of things other than strings to beef up the performance). The ones who could put on a show worth watching (in a more intimate setting) would be Queen Emily, perhaps Donald Brasswell (in a Broadway setting), Neal Boyd (in an opera setting) or he's got a big enough voice for a showroom in Vegas. Eli Mattson sounded like an Elton John imitator the first few times I heard him......not good to be an imitator unless you're an impressionist like Terry Fator, who does impressions with his ventriloquism dummies (a really entertaining show to watch, in my opinion). Nuttin but Strings might be an entertaining show to watch, but not really my style of show.

I'll agree about some of the judges at least. Sharon seems to be in some imaginary world. Really just a loud, obnoxious version of Paula. And the Hoff is the quieter softer version. Toss em. Or at least Sharon, the woman is off her rocker (no offense to Ozzy).
Age limit it too, nothing below 10 or above 70. Really they have no chance they're just taking up space.
And either have someone throw chairs at Jerry or get rid of him.
Strings to the end !

I think AGT should have new judges next year as these ones have proved they suck at judging by letting a 4 year old go thru to the 10. She took the place of a person who may have improved their act over the course of the show. Donald Braswell slapped the judges in the face by coming back from the dead and making it to the top 5. If the judges had their way Donald would have been out and Kailtyn would win the whole thing.

No real surprises in the top 5. Nuttin But Strings is not a new concept, there is a touring group that plays violin while dancing and prancing around the stage. Think of it as Fiddler on the Riverdance or Stomp with violins. I HATE how Neal E. Boyd is being shoved down our throats and has been the entire season. Anyone else think he could eat Kaitlyn for breakfast, just saying is all ...

I'll take Neal for the win. Queen Emily, Piano Guy and Broadway guy are all pretty generic singers with no personality, and would have had a better shot at American Idol. (Maybe Broadway guy brings a bit of variety, but his personality's a bit weak.) I'm glad they told Neal to knock off the variety and go back to opera, I'm hoping he blows the roof off the place in the finals. (Noted, by the way, that a shy opera singer guy competed against a cute little girl singer in the finals of the British version a year or two ago).

If it can't be Neal I'll take Nuttin But Strings, because I like the idea of a talent show that is not necessarily yet another singing show. I'm just disappointed that every single performance has them both standing there, rocking back and worth, occasionally yelling "HO!" or whatever it is he says while his brother does a backbend. The rest is all choreography - not them.

Yup...top 5 wasnt a surprised....I figured the last one wouldve been either Paul Salos or Donald Braswell. Gotta admit, Queen Emily has one heck of a voice and wouldnt be surprise if shes the winner, but since Nuttin but Stringz are the odd man out, I can see them winning.

i like natasha bedengfield but i did not know why she was there. was it a delay tactic? was it song promotion? her hair was strnage. she had half of it short and the other long. is this some new style i do dnot know about?
ii looked up neal boyd and this guy was in carnegie hall. performers would kill to get to carnegie hall. i think he will be allright without a win. nothing but strings has a cd and was on leno. i do not know who will win but donald has a strong follwoing becuse america brought him back as a wild card and the message boards people like eli. amybe they will be the last two.
