Glenn Beck moving to Fox News Channel (duh)

by Bob Sassone, posted Oct 17th 2008 2:00PM
Glenn BeckThe "duh" in the title is because it has always seemed to me like CNN Headline News host Glenn Beck belonged on Fox News all along, because it seems to be more in line with his way of thinking and his viewpoints.

Beck has signed a deal with Fox News Channel to host a daily show at 5pm (and a weekend show in the future). The deal has been described as "multi-year" and "multimillion-dollar." There have been rumors that Beck was going to eventually move to the network ever since he was seen eating with FNC head Roger Ailes. No word yet on when Beck will leave Headline News.

This will give Keith Olbermann more fodder for his frequent rants against Beck. Sure, he could do them if Beck was still at CNN, but it's probably going to be more convenient to have all of his targets (Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity) all in one easy-to-find place.

Personally, I'd rather see Nancy Grace leave Headline News than Beck. She annoys the hell out of me for so many reasons.

Beck is the only reason to watch CNN they no longer cover news they cover what the DNC wants. I used to love CNN now they can't find the middle only the left and some of the others are toooooo far right.

CNN should fired Beck two years ago after he spent a solid month making an *** out himself every evening saying Iran was going to start WWIII on August whatever of 2006.

Subject: Interesting opinion...
Read on, its a bit long, but an interesting prospective...
read on...
"I cannot believe that having come from Cuba you think that this would be progress . . . how can you think that a man who is a friend of terrorists, atheists, is anything but evil -- Everyone in Cuba prayed for Fidel Castro to take over Batista's regimen ---- no one asked who his friends were either -- but it was 'progress' because? he helped the poor -- ha! -- indoctrinated the poor -- you, yourself escaped with a mind of your own because your parents were strong enough and savvy enough to get you the hell away from the likes of Obama
What is it that you think would be progress? That we would have socialized medicine? Have you ever talked to anyone in Canada ? Anyone there who has had a child die because they couldn't get an MRI done in time to determine that she had a tumor that could have been removed had it been taken out in time? I have. - Her name is Jodie Bartfof --her baby's name was Izzy and now her oldest child is in a similar situation. She is Canadian - she has told us to do whatever we can to avoid that health care system in the US ?
What is it that you think is progress? That we tax the corporations more and the poor less? Who is going to give the 'poor' jobs, when the corporations get tired of paying the higher taxes and shut down the businesses -- Oh I see, the welfare system will take over? Right? Sure perpetuate the welfare system so we continue to raise a country of hoodlums, do-nothings - give me a handout ignoramus . . .
Do you not understand that the Democratic party is a party of Socialists? Have you ever read the definition of Socialism --
Read it slowly:
so·cial·ism
Pronunciation: ˈsō-shə-ˌli-zəm
Function: noun
Date: 1837
1: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
2 a: a system of society or group living in which there is no private property b: a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state
3: a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done
Is this what you would want for your nieces and nephews? An 'unequal distribution of goods and pay'
Controlled and owned by the state? Is this not why we are here in this country?
Have you watched TV lately? Have you seen children praising OBAMA in the classroom and singing his praises? Hello? Is this not bordering on Communism and indoctrination? Brought back memories of Cuba again.
Worse yet . . . the teacher that just got fired for organizing marches in the classroom and military maneuvers for Obama? Russia ? Cuba ? China ? . . . No, USA
This is a cult following for Obama? Who is he? What has he done? Is it because he is black? Is that the attraction? I don't understand it .. . . I really I don't care if he was purple and several years ago I would have gladly voted for Collin Powell in a New York minute. The democrats said that he was going to endorse Obama, then didn't -- what happened?
When did the economy go to hell in a hand basket? Let me refresh your memory -- it was 2006 and what happened then? The country wanted change and they voted in a Democratic Congress-- and what has Congress done in the last 2 years? Nada --- I take it back . . . they made people lose their homes so they could get kick backs from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and they made gas go to $4 a gallon, and oh yes, they elected Nancy Pelosi who has done such wonderful things as decorate the executive lunchroom, change the menu, and is most famous for turning out the lights against the Republicans wishing to continue to debate during an oil crisis, because she didn't want the Republicans to take credit. Then add Harry Reid, Maxine Waters, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank and numerous others who repeatedly stated that there was nothing wrong with the financial viability of Fannie and Freddie and sang the praises of their leader who got away with 90 millions of dollars. Obama himself is the second highest recipient of campaign contributions from Freddie & Fannie. . . exceeded only by Chris Dodd -- Keep in mind that Dodd has been around for over 20 yrs. - Obama for 3 yrs --

I think Jon Stewart said it best: "Wow. That guy...has a show."

His comment should have been directed to Nancy Grace. Why that woman has a show is beyond me. I'm all for one cable news channel that has nothing but news with no opinions. Crazy concept I know.

Anybody remember "Give us 30 minutes and we'll give you the world."?

Headline News should get rid of these opinionists and get back to its original mission of providing news headlines 24/7.
