Living Proof'Living Proof'
(Sat., 9PM, Lifetime)
Harry Connick, Jr. steps away from his usual comedic and musical stylings for this fact-based movie, the uplifting and heartbreaking tale of cancer research doctor Dennis Slamon's journey to get the drug Herceptin approved for breast cancer treatment.

Oscar winner Renee Zellweger is a producer and Bernadette Peters, Regina King and Angie Harmon co-star in the story, which chronicles Slamon's battle against bureaucratic maneuvering and money issues before Herceptin was finally approved in 1998.

Connick and his female cohorts are terrific in the Breast Cancer Awareness Month flick, making a box of Kleenex a necessity for watching the drama unfold.
