What to Watch Weekend, Nov. 1-2

by Kim Potts, posted Nov 1st 2008 5:00AM
'Army Wives'
(Sun., 10PM, Lifetime) 2nd season finale
Thankfully, no one's getting blown up in this season ender, but there are major changes ahead for the residents of Fort Marshall.

First up, Betty's nephew (guest star Ivan Sergei) visits and has news for Roxy that's going to add stress to what's already been a trying season for Roxy and Trevor.

Meanwhile, Pamela begins to question her life choices -- namely marrying into the military; Roland has to help out with a former patient; and Claudia Joy and Michael also have to get used to a few adjustments at Casa Holden, but that doesn't mean they're going to be happy about all of them.

'The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror XIX'
(Sun., 8PM, Fox)
It's the Halloween Spoof, Charlie Brown, as the 19th installment of 'The Simpsons' annual 'Treehouse of Horror' special includes goofing on the annual Peanuts holiday classic.

'Saturday Night Live'
(Sat., 11:30PM, NBC)
We gotta admit that the new David Archuleta single, 'Crush,' is stuck in our head way more than we'd like it to be, but what about 'American Idol' season seven winner David Cook? His first album drops Nov. 18, and tonight we get a preview as he's the 'SNL' musical guest and Ben Affleck hosts.

'Brotherhood'
(Sun., 8PM, Showtime) 3rd season premiere
Now that Michael knows that Tommy knew about the attack before it actually happened, the brothers Caffee are further apart than ever, but that's not the only drama ahead for the family: mama Rose's health is worsening, and Michael's wife Eileen is preggers ... with someone's baby.

'Legend of the Seeker'
(Sat., Check local listings for time and channel)
'Xena' and 'Hercules' fans may want to check out this new syndicated fantasy series, based on Terry Goodkind's 'The Sword of Truth' novels, produced by Sam Raimi and revolving around a young woods guide who tries to stop a bitter wizard from unleashing his powers.

'Skins'
(Sun., 10PM, BBCA)
New couple alert! We're not spoiling who it is, and no peeking at the Wikipedia episode guide!

'Family Guy'
(Sun., 9PM, Fox)
Like Macaulay Culkin, Stewie's left home alone when the family loads up the car for a road trip to the Grand Canyon and forgets to pack one evil genius baby.

'Primeval'
(Sat., 9PM, BBCA) 2nd season finale
Eek! It's Leek, who's power mad and bent on world domination, which leads him to trap Cutter and the team.

'Trading Spaces'
(Sat., 10PM, TLC)
Mmmm, we smell a juicy story here, as two former best friends swap houses and decorate a room for each other in hopes of repairing their broken friendship.

Also on this weekend:
- 'Hannah Montana' (8PM, Disney)
- 'Five Years on Mars: The Rovers' (8PM, NGC)
- 'Spain ... on the Road Again' (Check times, PBS)

What's on Monday: 'Saturday Night Live Presidential Bash 2008,' 'Raising the Bar' finale and more
