I hate when this happens.

You're all set to watch something, and you don't even set your DVR or your VCR or any other recording device you might have because you've known about the show for weeks and weeks and you plan to watch this particular episode because you watch the show all the time anyway. And then the day comes and you either oversleep or you're busy doing something else or it just slips your mind for some reason and you miss it.

That's what happened to me this morning.

I've known that Stephen Colbert was going to be on Martha (timed to plug his new A Colbert Christmas special, this Sunday at 10pm on Comedy Central) and I've been looking forward to it, but today happened to be the day where I woke up a little later than usual and everything got pushed back about a half hour. I tuned into Martha halfway through the show and had no idea I had just missed Colbert help Martha make a kissing ball (no wisecracks please).

Here's a video preview of the episode. Luckily, Fine Living Network runs Martha episodes the day after they run in syndication, so this episode will be repeated this Monday at 8pm and midnight. I plan to watch it live, but I'm going to set my DVR too.
