Grey's Anatomy: In the Midnight Hour

(S05E09) "Who's making a porno movie in Izzie's room?" - Derek
I think I speak for the rest of America when I ask, why the F is Denny still hanging around? It's like one big unending cross-over episode with The X-Files. He and Izzie were making out, touching, kissing... having sex? What?!? And he just keeps blabbing "I'm here for you." Care to elaborate, Mr. Duquette?
Denny is dead(!), and you know what the worst part is? Shonda Rhimes confirmed that Izzie doesn't have some wacko brain tumor! Got any other theories? I give up, but I tell ya - this had better clear up fast, because it has become by far, the most distracting, unrealistic, and annoying thing about this show, and it's been going on for three weeks now! I honestly can't think of how this could have a satisfying ending. Pull a Hahn and just have him be gone next week. Please. Sloan having a relationship with a barcalounger would be more enjoyable than this.
OK, moving on to that crop of idiot interns. Maybe I'm just forgetting, but was Meredith and everyone else this bad when they were interns? I don't think so.
It's not the interns operating on Sadie and goofing up that has me annoyed. It's what happened afterward when Yang blew up on Meredith after Webber found out. I'm sick of her. Granted, Cristina may have moments of sensitivity and seem like a nice person, but she isn't. 95% of the time she is a B-I-T-C-H, looking out for only one person - herself.
She had one line that really got me. That quip about how all the residents would have been to blame had Sadie died. I disagree. Granted, all the interns had a role, but the interns who initially started the "I cut you, you cut me club" were Yang's interns because she wasn't teaching them jack. As far we saw, Mer, Alex, George, and Izzie were teaching their interns. Yang didn't, and while Meredith didn't exactly stick up for Cristina in front of the chief, she also didn't mention that little tidbit either. These moments where Cristina comes flying off the handle with the holier than thou rants are bogus. I hope Hunt knows what he's getting into with her.
More thoughts on "The Midnight Hour":
-
I would never volunteer to get an epidural.
-
I'm glad Izzie got to see Alex defend her to that jerk intern, and that was probably the driving force when she picked Alex over Denny at the end, but - dare I ask - what happens if Denny gets his feelings hurt? Leaves, hopefully.
-
Just when I think the b-stories can't get any funnier, we get a husband who essentially needs to crap down his wife's throat to save her. Not quite, I mean there were tubes involved, but still. Fecal transplant - hilarious.
-
Now that George knows Lexie is in love with him, I assume that'll go somewhere. I wish it wouldn't, but it probably will.
-
What's with Sadie cutting herself again? What's wrong with her?

I wonder if we're going to see Bailey try something new since surgeries are boring for her now. I don't know what she'd do, though.
For the time being, I don't see Grey's getting much better. There's a lot broken and nothing is getting fixed. To top it off, so much of this season has focused on "the solo surgery" and I'm just not buying it as this exciting and pivotal moment that ABC is trying to portray it as. I mean, so what? Say Meredith does a solo whatever-dectomy. Patient could live or die. Not all that much different than when any other doctor on the show is in the OR. So what's the twist going to be? If we're lucky, Denny has a heart attack and no one can save him... you know, because he's dead already!
