James Kyson Lee reveals a few Heroes teasers

Though Heroes has fallen in the ratings, do not despair, my friends. I recently talked with James Kyson Lee, who plays Hiro's sidekick, Ando, and he assured me that things will pick up in the coming weeks. In fact, the upcoming chapter, "Fugitives," promises to give the series a reboot.
"I know there have been a couple episodes where people got a little confused in terms of the storylines," said Lee. "But overall, I feel like the writing has been really strong, especially the last three or four episodes. I think it's really starting to come together, and we're going to have a very strong rest of the run for this season."
Lee added that things are going to get very interesting for Ando, now that Arthur Petrelli has stripped Hiro of most of his memories. "I have a pretty full plate on my hands," said Lee. "Now I have to save the world AND baby-sit a 10-year-old."
And why did Ando follow Hiro on all these adventures in the first place? Probably the same reason a lot of us would have followed him. "I think the story first started because we both really wanted to get out of the corporate life, you know? We both, in their own way, felt like that was not the sort of life we wanted, and when we had the opportunity to go on an adventure and escape, we took it."
Ando really hasn't had a power up to this point, but the way things are going this season, any and everyone could nab a power. We get a glimpse of that when future Ando ends up blasting Hiro with lightning bolts. What's up with that?
"I think the whole point of that is to sort of throw the viewer into a little chaos, and you can interpret it in your own way," he said. "Hopefully, that's a future we try to avoid, but this season, you start to get an idea of the evolution of how Ando gets an ability and how that plays out."
Stay tuned, he said, because there are big things in store, both for the heroes and for viewers as we move into Volume 4, "Fugitives," which starts in January. "It's going to feel like a new show because the storylines are a different energy. You'll see a very different side of Ando, as well."
James Kyson Lee's thoughts on:
Working with other characters: "Starting next week (tonight's episode), Hiro and Ando will be crossing paths with some new characters, which is good. Anytime you work with a different set of actors, it opens up a different type of chemistry, so that's always exciting."
The two groups headed by Angela and Arthur: "It seems like Arthur's group is turning into a team of villains, and we (Hiro and Ando) are on the good side and trying to battle the other group. Things are becoming more defined and simplified, with one team vs. the other."
Hiro and Ando being the comic relief: "We're always trying to do good, but in the process, we get into all these shenanigans, whether we're knocking out the Haitian at the German movie house or trapped in Level 5 trying to get the hatch open. We're like Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer, always getting into trouble. There's always going to be a lot of drama and action and mystery on Heroes, but once in a while, you have to lighten things up, and that's where we come in."
His favorite character: "This season, it's been Arthur Petrelli, because he gets to interact with all the other characters in the show. Angela is one of my favorites, too, and the funny thing is, Cristine Rose is so sweet in real life."
