Pushing Daisies: Robbing Hood

(S02E07) "You'd have to watch him die all over again." - Ned to Chuck
The case of the week was interesting and fun to watch unfold, however, it's not what we will remember about this week's installment of the soon-to-be-ending Pushing Daisies. What we will remember is how Dwight discovered that Chuck is alive, Lily fuming and drinking to a point that she points a gun at Dwight and decides to take matters in her own hands, and that oh so not important little scene in which Chuck and Ned unearth Charles Charles.
Who is Dwight Dixon? That's what our favorite sleuths and myself have been wondering. Since I don't have access to information about the man, they have to do all the digging for me. Sadly, I'm starting to be a tad impatient at the lack of information about the man. What do we really no about him? He may or may not be named Dwight Dixon, he loves guns, he wanted Charles' pocket watch really badly for god knows why, he has a heart of stone that slightly melted thanks to Vivian, and he claims he knows Charles Charles. No much, eh? I know it's all part of the plan, to keep Dwight as much a mystery as possible for a while, but I'm ready for answers especially since we also have to wonder why is that watch so important. Is there something magical happening when the two watches are reunited? Will they have access to the Fortress of Solitude? Or maybe it's the equivalent of Scylla? Why do you think the watches are so important? Let us know about your theories in comments below.
Lily rocks! I could watch a whole hour of the Olive and Lily show. Olive is upbeat and optimistic while Lily is dark and pessimistic. We definitely saw the ugly side of Lily this week when she started to drink a lot to cope with the fact that Vivian was dating Dwight. Lily was right on the money when thinking that Dwight was up to no good. But I'm afraid she may have made a mistake by taking the watches. The man was willing to unearth Chuck to get the watch, so he is surely willing to kill for them. Since he thinks that Chuck stole the watches, he'll set his sight on her and you know this means that things will get really ugly. What I'm interested in is what Lily will do next. The narrator hinted to the fact that Lily may think Dwight found more than the watch in the casket, so will Lily try to find out what else he knows or will she be satisfied with the watches and leave it to that? My hunch is that she'll try to find out what he knows. Lily wants to protect her secrets and Dwight is a threat that must be taken out. It wouldn't surprise me if she ends up pointing another gun at him.
The most interesting part of this week's episode was Ned's dilemma when reviving Charles Charles was concerned. At first, he didn't want to revive Charles again so that Chuck wouldn't have to go through her father dying a second time. He knew that Chuck would love to talk to her father even for a mere minute but the consequences of killing him for good when touching him a second time outweighed the good reviving him would cause. Events and Chuck made him change his mind. Even if Ned was finally on board to revive Charles, he knew that bad could come of it once he "killed" Charles and properly warned Chuck. The latter may be ready to face the consequences but how will she react to seeing Ned kill her father? Then again, that is IF she lets Ned touch Charles a second time...
Seeing Chuck and Ned open Charles Charles' casket raised a series of questions I share with you: What will the duo do after Ned touches Charles? Who'll talk first? Will they really ask him about Dwight or will Ned tell Chuck to use the full minute to say goodbye to her father? How does Charles look like? After all, he died 20 years ago so he surely doesn't look as good as the victim of the week. Will Ned be able to touch Charles again, thus killing him a second time? Will Chuck be able to let her father go? What will happen if Ned doesn't touch Charles again? Who? What? When? Why? How? !!! Thank god I have spoilers to keep me sane until the next new episode! Oh, and in case you were like me and were wondering where you saw that hot blonde widow before? That's Jennifer Elise Cox and you probably remember her as Jan Brady in The Brady Bunch Movie and its sequel. Star Trek: Voyager's Ethan Phillips also guest starred in "Robbing Hood." In case you didn't recognize him without his Neelix makeup, he played Daniel Hill, the lawyer.
