Rachel Zoe returns - Shut.Up!

by Jane Boursaw, posted Dec 9th 2008 12:06PM
Rachel Zoe returns for season twoI'm overly excited about the news that The Rachel Zoe Project has been picked up for a second season on Bravo. I got hooked on the first season this fall, and have grown to love that pixie stylist and her dysfunctional assistants.

If you haven't watched the show, it follows the crazy life of Rachel Zoe, an L.A.-based stylist to celebs like Debra Messing and Molly Sims. She makes the stars look good on the red carpet, on magazine covers, and at fashion shows, and mixes with all sorts of interesting people, like designers Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors.

But all the fun really happens inside Rachel's studio, where she tries to keep everybody happy, including hubby Rodger, and squabbling assistants Taylor Jacobson and Brad Goreski. Those two are as opposite as they come, but that's what makes it fun for the rest of us.

And then there's Rachel's very own language - such phrases as "shut up right now" (disbelief), "I die" (she loves it), "hero dress" (the perfect dress, one that will save the day), "shut it down" (be a smash-hit on the red carpet), and my personal favorite, "I'm a soldier of rising above it all" (her ability to overcome the tabloid fodder).

Anyway, yah! on Rachel getting a second season. I can't wait to check in with the crew again and watch Brad and Taylor do their little catfights. I'm kind of hoping Taylor gets a little closer to a hairbrush this season. And Brad? Well, he can be my gal-pal any day.

In other Bravo news, Million Dollar Listing and Flipping Out have been picked up for season three, and Tabatha's Salon Takeover for season two. At first, I wasn't on-board with her blunt approach to helping salon owners get back on track, but clearly, it's working. I'll look forward to seeing her show return, too.

You forgot the best Rachelism borrowed for the sixties.. "I've come undone."

One full hour of whiny valley-speak, petulance, and materialism. "Anyway, Yah" indeed.

Haven't watched it can't say that I will.

Between hearing her insistence on a special pronunciation of her name (if what I heard was true) and her special Zoe venacular [tm] already annoyed.

Isn't Zoe almost 40? Seems like she is a bit old for the above. Someone doesn't like getting old...
