starter wife'The Starter Wife'
(10PM, USA) 1st season finale
We smell a cliffhanger or two, as the fab first season of the show inspired by Gigi Levangie Grazer's novel and USA's 2007 miniseries wraps with a wedding for Lou and plenty of turmoil for Molly and her friends.

Her ex-lover's wedding, in fact, forces Molly to consider whether or not her own romantic future with Zach is worth considering. Meanwhile, Rodney's relationship with Felix takes a turn, guilt- and grief-stricken Joan makes a confession and newly-separated Liz continues to face the realities of her life without her pro baseball player hubby.

Thankfully, the network has given season two a greenlight, ensuring 'Starter Wife' can finish what it ... you know.

'Best Year Ever'
(9PM, VH1)
We're still not happy about the format change of this once-great snarkfest, but since there was certainly no shortage of 2008 pop culture moments at which to poke fun, the year-end special should mark the return of faves like Doug Benson, Pop Culture Bachelor and the always amusing musings of Sherrod Small and Christian Finnegan.

'Greatest Holiday Moments: Songs of the Season Countdown'

It could be Gene Autry's 'Frosty the Snowman' or Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas,' but our money's on Bing Crosby's version of 'White Christmas' to top this holiday music countdown.

'The 12 Redneck Days of Christmas'
(9PM, CMT)

There's something for Claymates and gossip lovers alike in this 'THS' installment, which includes little-seen video of Aiken's pre-'American Idol' gigs as a wedding singer, as well as scoop on the baby he recently fathered with his 50-year-old record producer.

'What Not to Wear'

Wondering who actually buys all those crappy holiday sweaters for sale on QVC and HSN? It's Marianna, a lovely woman whose co-workers nonetheless ask Clinton and Stacy to stage an intervention and replace her Santa and Rudolph knits with some grown-up people garments.
