'Make 'Em Laugh: The Funny Business of America'
(8 and 9PM, PBS)
Knock, knock. Who's there? Billy Crystal and Amy Sedaris. Billy Crystal and Amy Sedaris who? No, silly, it's really Billy Crystal and Amy Sedaris, who introduce and narrate all six episodes of this special on the history of American comedy.

Tonight's installments include 'Would Ya Hit a Guy with Glasses?: Nerds, Jerks & Oddballs' and 'Honey, I'm Home!: Breadwinners and Homemakers,' a look at classic domestic humor from George Burns and Gracie Allen on the radio to 'Roseanne' and 'The Simpsons' on the tube.

The chefs go all 'Green Acres' when they travel from NYC to a rural area where they have to pick fresh ingredients to prepare a feast for a group of farm workers.

'Friday Night Lights'
(9PM, DirecTV) 3rd season finale
The season wraps as several Dillon Panthers finalize their college plans. Meanwhile, fans who didn't catch season three on DirecTV can watch it from the beginning on NBC, beginning Jan. 16.

'American Greed: Scams, Scoundrels and Scandals'
(9PM, CNBC)
A timely show, given the Bernard Madoff scandal, this episode focuses on former 'N Sync manager Lou Pearlman, who pled guilty last year to a Ponzi scheme that bilked investors out of $500 million dollars.
