'General Hospital' Cast Interviews
"[Fans] really liked the Metro Court, and if they liked the Metro Court, then this is gonna blow their minds. I can't wait!" -- Sonya Eddy I'd like to thank the Academy, and a special thanks to Mitch and Richard -- you know who you are -- and all of my amazing co-stars on 'General Hospital,' without whom none of this would be possible ...
Today's the day you can actually see my split-second, two-line part as Nurse No. 3 on 'General Hospital.' OK, so it's hardly award-worthy, but I did manage to get some time to chat with the cast of pros at 'GH' while I was on set, including series regulars Kimberly McCullough, Steve Burton, Sonya Eddy, Rebecca Herbst, Jason Thompson, Greg Vaughan, Sarah Brown and Bruce Weitz.
Daytime fans, here's your scoop: If you think this big bio-toxin storyline is over, you better keep watching -- the chemical exposure and mass illness at 'GH' is just the beginning. What happens next can only be described as explosive and it'll definitely shake things up in Port Charles ... more than any alien friend, paternity secret or mobster hit ever could. Keep clicking to hear all about it, and more, straight from the stars. -- By Maggie Furlong

Bruce Weitz, "Anthony Zacchara"
Anthony has really been through the ringer!
He has indeed -- as have all the characters on the show. If you had to deal with all this stuff in real life ... I mean, you wouldn't live past 20! [Laughs]
ABC
Bruce Weitz, "Anthony Zacchara"
Are you ever jealous of anyone else's storylines?
No, I love this character -- I'm not jealous of anybody. I'd like to think that they would all secretly like to play Anthony, because he's a ball. There's nobody I can think of that I'd rather be on this show than the character I play.
ABC
Bruce Weitz, "Anthony Zacchara"
You and I share an interesting scene at the hospital today -- what can you tell us about what's coming up for Anthony?
I know that Claudia, my daughter, will tell Sonny that I shot his fiancée. And then he'll come after me -- I don't know whether he'll get me or whether I'll go on to live another day. I'm sure the first time I'll find out is when I pick up the script. Somebody else may know, but I don't. [Laughs] But Anthony can survive anything -- if the head writer and producer want him to survive.
ABC
Sarah Brown, "Claudia Zacchara Corinthos"
Do you think that Sonny will ever find out that your dad killed his fiancée?
I really hope he doesn't find out, and I've been saying that for a long time. We're just starting to get our feet underneath us, me and Maurice [Benard, who plays Sonny Corinthos], with these new characters and how these new characters work together ... I would like to deepen the relationship with Maurice and continue to be able to have fun with him and spar with him and see what develops there as opposed to going into the, "You crazy woman! I'm gonna toss you out the window!" But if they do that to me, it would not be the first time they've thrown me out the window, as a character, and I have to find a way to stick to the building and climb back up. [Laughs] But that is not easy to do -- if you're able to successfully do it, more people want to watch you.
Kimberly McCullough, "Dr. Robin Scorpio"
You've been on 'GH' on and off for 16 years -- what's the most outrageous thing that's ever happened to your character?
Probably the alien storyline, when I had an alien friend. I think that was the most outrageous thing. I mean ... it would be nice. It's like an imaginary friend when you're a kid, except he just happened to be good-looking and, like, 35. [Laughs]
ABC
Kimberly McCullough, "Dr. Robin Scorpio"
How difficult has it been playing a new mom dealing with postpartum depression?
It's a challenge because the babies that I work with are so good, and every scene I do, the baby is supposed to be freaking out and crying. All day today, I had to be crying and upset because my kid is upset, and the baby is literally smiling at me and laughing the entire time! This is the hardest thing I've ever done for sure.
ABC
Sonya Eddy, "Epiphany Johnson"
Being the nosy one of the hospital, you're in the middle of all the action -- what do you think of this big new storyline?
Dude, it's gonna be ... I can't wait to see the audience's reaction to it. Usually what happens is, the beginning of an arc like this starts and then I'll go out to the grocery store -- and I'll make sure I have my makeup on because I don't want to scare anybody [laughs] -- and you only need to wait 5 or 10 minutes until someone's like, "Hey!" People are very vocal about it: They like it or they don't. They really liked the Metro Court, and if they liked the Metro Court, then this is gonna blow their minds. I can't wait! I'll be hounding the Ralph's and standing around Whole Foods in the middle of the aisle, with "Epiphany Johnson" on my chest, just waiting.
ABC
Greg Vaughan, "Lucky Spencer"
Jaw-dropping things happen on the show all the time, but what's the craziest thing you've done playing Lucky?
The craziest was when I first came on -- I was extremely excited to come on the show, but I found that my father and I were involved with the same woman. That was very interesting, but, you know, stranger things can happen on a soap opera!
ABC
Greg Vaughan, "Lucky Spencer"
You are the third Lucky they've had on the show -- was that hard filling those shoes when you first started on 'GH'?
Lucky has been on for about 15 years, and I'm going into my seventh year. The bar had been set because both previous actors who portrayed him -- Jonathan Jackson kind of set the foundation of who this character is, and made everybody fall in love with him. And then Jacob Young, who's on 'All My Children' now, was here for three years. And they both won Emmys -- they really set the bar high! [Laughs]
