Honestly, why are they even bothering with another Cupid?

CupidBack when I was a kid, besides walking several miles in the snow to school, we never heard the insider-ish, behind the scenes details of what was going on behind the scenes of a TV show. We hardly knew that shows were even coming up, not until we got the super-duper fall preview issue of TV Guide. We didn't have any preconceived notions of the shows, we didn't know about any episode orders or set tension or anything like that. Shows just premiered, they stayed on or they didn't, and then we moved on.

That's not the case nowadays, of course. TV fans on the web (thanks to sites like, well, this one) know just about everything about a TV show months before it airs. And here's another little bit of information about a show before it airs: ABC has again dropped the number of episodes it wants for the Rob Thomas remake of Cupid.

First ABC wanted 13, then they wanted 9, and now inside sources say they want just 7. Pretty soon the episode order is going to be in the negative numbers, and TV fans will have to produce and film the show themselves and post it on YouTube.

Seems like ABC isn't exactly behind this show, though I guess things will change if the first episode gets gangbuster ratings.

Why bother? What occurred on the set where they decide to dump a show before its seen? TV stinks.

LOL! That made me laugh out loud. This show looks about as good as that crap show with the chick who lost her face on Grey's Anatomy. Can't even remember the name, but it was the one that took over for Moonlight.

In light of this new and utterly pointless "Cupid", how about an article on cancelled shows that are more deserving of a "rebirth"? It would be a long list of shows, I know.

I've been asking this question from the start. After all, this cast is probably half the quality of the original with a premise that's not unique--as it was done 10 years ago. Why are they even doing this?!

And with an announcement like that, who would want to invest time watching a show that ultimately is destined to be canceled?

13 to 9 to 7, I predict 4 before it is on the way out.
