What to Watch Weekend Feb. 28-March 1

by Kim Potts, posted Feb 28th 2009 5:00AM
The Celebrity Apprentice'The Celebrity Apprentice'
(Sun., 9PM, NBC) 8th season premiere
It's certainly an eclectic group of celebs who've assembled for Donald Trump's latest season.

Headlining the list: Joan Rivers and her daughter Melissa; foul-mouthed comedian Andrew Dice Clay; other Kardashian sister Khloe; Tom Green; R&B crooner Brian McKnight; country star Clint Black; former NBA star Dennis Rodman; and reality TV star/Mr. Sandra Bullock Jesse James among them.

The celebs, who are playing to win a hunk of cash for their favorite charities, will face challenges like making and selling cupcakes and creating their own comic book superheroes, but with a contestant pool this diverse, we have a feeling it's going to be all about the ego clashes this season.

'Jesse Stone: Thin Ice'
(Sun., 9PM, CBS)
The Moustache, Tom Selleck, is back in a fifth Stone flick, based on the Robert B. Parker novels. This time around, Paradise, Mass. police chief Stone is being investigated by (and getting horizontal with) an Internal Affairs agent ('24's' Leslie Hope) after a shootout that left his buddy, also a law enforcement agent, seriously wounded.

'Running in Heels'
(Sun., 8PM, Style) series premiere
Aka 'The Devil Wears Prada': The reality series, as three interns try to stake a spot at Marie Claire magazine. In the premiere of the insider series, one of the interns gets off to a rocky start because of jealousy issues, and 'Project Runway' judge Nina Garcia becomes the mag's new fashion director.

'Storytellers: Kanye West'
(Sat., 9PM, VH1)
He sings his biggest hits and his newer tunes, but if a Perez Hilton spoiler is any indication, it's the storytelling that will make for the most compelling viewing, as West dishes on the doctor who's connected to the death of his mother and on how he was dissed by Radiohead singer Thom Yorke.

'Brothers & Sisters'
(Sun., 9PM, ABC)
You gotta really love the Walker clan to tune in for a two-hour episode, but this installment doesn't slouch in the drama quotient, with a birth, a heart attack and a potential prison sentence for one family member.

'The L Word'
(Sun., 9PM, Showtime)
In the last ep before next week's series finale, a dance marathon ends with a major shake-up for one of the 'L Word' couples, while Kit gets some shocking news of her own.

'Big Love'
(Sun., 9PM, HBO)
Now that the Hendricksons are back home after their traumatic road trip, the fallout continues for Nicki, as Bill and her sister wives deal with the secret about her birth control, while at work, her deception may be exposed when a familiar face shows up at the office.

Also on this weekend:
- 'Underdog to Wonderdog' (Sat., 8PM, Animal Planet)
- 'The Simpsons' (Sun., 8PM, Fox)

What's on Monday: 'The Bachelor' finale, 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' and more
