Chuck season finale will be satisfying (even if there's no third season)

ChuckChuck is one of my favorite shows on TV right now. It's so ridiculously entertaining that I haven't even thought for a second that it might not be renewed for a third season. But that's a possibility.

Co-creator and producer Josh Schwartz tells Sci-Fi Wire that even if the show is not picked up for another season, the season finale will be very satisfying for fans but at the same time will be a "game changer." Schwartz says the finale (and they are considering this a finale, because they don't know if they're going to be renewed or not) will launch the show in a new direction. It's actually the finale that they've been planning to do since the first episode.

Hmmm...I have no idea what this could mean. Unless it means that Chuck and Sarah really get together and/or Chuck loses his ability somehow and goes back to a normal life. Probably not the latter, since they'd have to change the entire premise of the show. Maybe retool it as a half-hour sitcom that focusing on Buy More and life at home with Chuck and Sarah.

Nah. The cast is great, but I don't want to watch According To Chuck.

Ha! Well, looks like it's happening, or happened.

For Chuck to continue, there needs to be a reason for Chuck and one for Sarah. If Sarah goes, so does every single fan. And Sarah only stays if Chuck is worth clinging onto in the eyes of the government. Only twists I see now are these:

Chuck hasn't really been tested to see if the intersect is out. Just because he hasn't flashed on something yet doesn't mean he *won't*. It could very well be irremovable, but more likely is that the Fulcrum intersect was not removed when the US Gov. one was. Thus continuing the story. If this happens, since Chuck is then of most use in field, he needs to be trained to be a spy instead of hiding like a pansy behind the hot blond and the lost Baldwin. Thus beginning Chuck, the series of a dork turned spy-in-training. I'd watch.

Also, with the seemingly malicious return of Chevy Chase (the devil incarnate, clearly) imminent, it's likely that at the wedding Chevy gets revenge for years of being cast into sub-par comedies by tormenting Chuck, on whose show he had one of his best roles, with a new intersect or other such story arc that causes Chuck to necessitate oversight. It doesn't matter *what*, because the writers will just try to make something that's sounds somewhat logically feasible in the show's context but still leaves everyone slightly flabbergasted. Thus beginning Chuck vs. the Dark Intersect. Still, I'd watch.

Chuck is a fantastic show. I also love House, and Big Bang Theory, but CHUCK is the one that I watch live. I sincerely hope that they give everyone the chance to finish Chuck, before they cancel the show. Very few shows come along that actually make you laugh, and care on the same level. Chuck has a great balance. Good Luck, CHUCK.

I REALLY love "Chuck." It's such a good show and my favorite part of the show is the Chuck/Sarah dynamic that it has goin' on. =D

...

I also love John Casey. He's quite the entertaining guy what with all his snarky comments and snide remarks haha.

But, seriously, I have been in love with this show from the get-go and I will totally boycott NBC if they cancel "Chuck."

I'm not even joking when I say that "Chuck" is the only show I watch on NBC.

And, one more thing.

To You, NBC Executives: Pick up "Chuck" for a third season, or you'll lose many, many, and I repeat, MANY fans.

CHUCK is the most entertaining hour on television!! Come on, NBC! Don't cancel one of the best shows you've got going. Instead, how about promoting in better (like put Zach and Yvonne on SNL - and not competing show stars like Neil Patrick Harris) and put the show in a better time slot. From the very first episode of season 1 it was up against one of the most popular shows on TV (DWTS). How can you ever expect it to grow an audience?? Don't throw away a quality show without giving it the chance it deserves!

Are you kidding me?!?!? This is my absolute favorite network show and it ties for first place of all shows with Leverage. Why, oh why, must the networks continue to shoot themselves in the foot? Jericho, Moonlight, and now possibly Chuck...maybe I need to give up my TV addiction :(

With all the other garbage on TV, I find it incredulous that they would even consider not renewing Chuck for a third season. It has been my favorite show since the pilot aired last year. The show has all the right elements that make it fun to watch - great writing, superb cast and guest stars, and just the right music for the moment. Plus Sarah is a treat for the eyes. Wake up network execs! Don't let a great show disappear.

I am a grandparent raising our 16 year old grandson and Chuck is the only show we sit down and watch together. I enjoy the technology end of it and the show is written well. There is so much garbage on TV and I can't understand why they would even consider dropping the series. Is there someway that NBC can hear from it's viewers and quit listening to the bias ratings??

Chuck is one of the very few old-school Network shows I watch. I'll be extremely disappointed if it doesn't get picked up for a third season, particularly if it gets axed simply due to being on a too-crowded night, without even trying to find a more hospitable timeslot.
