Here are your final four American Idol contestants (maybe)

Another week, another American Idol controversy.

This week: a staffer on the hit FOX show says that she knows who the final four contestants are going to be. THIS IS A SPOILER, IF YOU BELIEVE RUMORS, SO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. The staffer says that she knows - for a fact - who the final Idol contestants will be. If you want to know who they could be, read on after the jump.

She says the final four are Danny Gokey, Lil' Rounds, Alexis Grace, and Adam Lambert. I haven't even really been paying attention to Idol this season, and even I know that Gokey will probably be one of the finalist. Lil Rounds? Sounds like the name of a new delicious snack food.

I'm not sure how this woman could know the name of the final four. I know that the judges get a vote this season, but could they (at this point) have already picked the final four without knowing if those people will make it past the viewer voting still to come in the next few weeks or so?

Eh, who knows. I'm just surprised they let one of the Jonas Brothers compete this season.

I think Adam's Ring of Fire was great.
I believe the underwater volcano in the "righ of fire" erupted in applause to Adam's version of this song.

I really dont care about American Idol, never have, never will... i hate all aspects of reality TV and much prefer Lost, Med Men, Breaking Bad...

buttttt... if weeks or months down the line THIS turns out to be the final 4... that could be quite the backlash. But by publicly stating that this is the final four, the insider probably made herself wrong, why would the judges, if there WAS a conspiracy... still pick those 4?

This hardly qualifies as a spoiler or a scandal. I think anyone with any discernment at all would pick those as the most likely final four. They are the only ones with a professional level of both charisma and singing technique.

Also, I find it disingenuous of the author to pretend he isn't aware of the many techniques the producers and judges can and do use to create audience bias in both directions. (For example, take another look at the Bice/Underwood final where it was clear that both Bice and the staff had agreed to throw the whole thing to Underwood.)
