Tim and Eric and Jimmy Fallon - VIDEO

Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great JobI had hoped to post the Tim and Eric interview from Late Night with Jimmy Fallon from last night, but this is all NBC posted of the segment. Fallon introduced them by saying they had been eating chocolate since Sunday and hadn't slept, at which point they burst into the studio and threw candy at the audience and the band. They made a passing attempt at answering Fallon's questions, and gave a bit of their history, but mostly stuck to the premise of being hopped up on candy. No one sticks to a premise like Tim and Eric.

If you're not familiar with Tim and Eric, you probably look at these two guys in pink chocolate-stained tuxedos and wonder what the hell you're watching. Sometimes, even when you do know Tim and Eric, and watch Tim & Eric, Awesome Show, Great Job every Sunday at 12:30 AM on Adult Swim, you are apt to say, what the hell am I watching.

The pair have developed their own particular physicality and editing style, quick cut with often disturbing animations (Chippy haunts my dreams). Their dancing doesn't seem to have anything to do with joyful expression or any specific dance you'd see at a club - it's all manic energy, some lost sign language with which they are trying to communicate great pain. Tim and Eric often look like they're trying to pull their own heads back into their necks, or have been forced to drink something incredibly vile.

That bad taste in their mouths is an idea they took a bit more literally with this ad for Cigarette Juice (pitched here by recurring character Spagett).

Whenever Fallon goes into reruns, Tim and Eric fans should try to catch the whole segment. Non-fans who did catch it and were intrigued, you have a whole new world to dive into.

Where's my chip chip? Where's my chippers? There's my chippers!

Also, if anyone can give me incite as to why Tim and Eric often have better guest stars than most late night comedy shows I'd really appreciate it. I mean are they like Seth Green and know everyone in Hollywood or just incredibly lucky?
