Kyra's doing wonders for orange juice

Bacon and SedgwickOn The Closer, Kyra Sedgwick rarely gets the chance to dance. She plays a homicide detective in Los Angeles, for goodness sake! But as the harried Brenda Leigh Johnson, the actress didn't even share a waltz with her new TV hubby Fritz after their wedding on the season finale last winter.

However, have you seen Kyra strut her stuff in this new orange juice commercial? Not only is the commercial terrific, it's a little bit of an homage to Kyra's real life husband, actor-director Kevin Bacon.

Remember how Kevin cut loose in the movie Footloose? Were they thinking of his gyrating moves in that 1984 musical when they choreography Kyra's romp around the kitchen? I think so, even down to the double for the really gymnastic stuff like that split at the end. If that's really Kyra, I'll be stunned. According to sources, she's not saying if it's her or not.

Anyway, whether it's all her or not, to the tune of Tom Jones' "She's A Lady," watch how Kyra reaches for a the carton and shakes it up all over the kitchen (by the way, I want that kitchen!):

The bottom line for a commercial, of course, is how effective it is. This one sure seems like a winner to me. And when you have an award-winning actress agreeing to sell a product, I think the ad should live up to her talent. This one does.

Good commercial. Too bad the juice it advertizes tastes awful. It really tastes like 'Diet OJ'.

She probably "agreed" to do the commercial because they lost their shirts to Bernie Madoff.

Seems like we're seeing more of Kyra and Kevin of late. Wonder if the Madoff problem means they have to do more "commercial" work?
