Spoilers Anonymous

by Isabelle Carreau, posted Apr 24th 2009 8:00AM

This is Spoilers Anonymous, a weekly column here at TV Squad where we supply you with the dirt on some of the more popular shows on the air. We'll never put spoilers up here on the main page in order to help the reformed stay unspoiled. If you have anything to add to the group, feel free to step up and let yourself be heard, either with our tips form or by emailing us at tvsquad at gmail dot com, or call and leave a message at (775) 640-8479. Your anonymity is guaranteed, if you wish to remain as such.

This week we have: 24, Desperate Housewives, Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, Lost, Nip/Tuck, Prison Break, Private Practice, Psych, The Unit and Ugly Betty. (SPOILERS FOLLOW!)

  • Chloe is back on Monday and will have to make familial decisions pretty fast. [Source: TV Guide's Mega Buzz]

Desperate Housewives

  • A major character from Season 2 will return in the last five minutes of the season finale. It looks like it may be gardener John Rowland since he was at The Paley Festival DH panel and as the moderator invited Jesse Metcalfe on stage, show creator Marc Cherry smirked and said, "Well I think we're done here." A show insider claims that John will be back but is he the major character mentioned in the spoiler or is there another major character returning? [Source: KorbiTV]
  • Jackson and Susan are getting engaged. So are Katherine and Mike. [Source: Watch with Kristin]
  • Bree and Karl will share a kiss. [Source: The Ausiello Files]

Gossip Girl

  • Remember the spoiler saying that Serena would try to unmask Gossip Girl in the season finale? Well, turns out Serena will be able to identify someone connected to GG, but not GG her/himself. In other GG news, Chuck will try to have Nelly Yuki be crowned prom queen to get revenge on Blair who is attending the ball with Nate. [Source: The Ausiello Files]

Grey's Anatomy

  • Lexie and Mark will do some more kissing and hand holding as well as go on a date with Tatcher Grey. There will be a case of mistaken identity between Alex and Izzie's mother. It's not clear if Izzie is cancer-free by the April 30th episode, but someone close to her (my bet is her mother) will be led to believe that she is. Bailey will leave her husband after he once again fails to support her career in the season finale. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
  • Meredith will warn Derek that if he invites the Chief to the wedding, she is not walking down the aisle. Could this be what will cause them to not wed in the 100th episode? [Source: KorbiTV]
  • Owen's therapist will give him a specific list of three-word sentences he can say to Cristina and "I love you" is not one of them. [Source: Watch with Kristin]

  • One character is going to make a splashy return in Volume 5. [Source: TV Guide's Mega Buzz]
  • Events that will happen in the season finale: Sylar kills a Season 1 character; Matt's darkside gets out; Hiro and Ando combine their powers to take down Building 26; Nathan and Sylar face off; Tracy returns; a new female baddie is introduced. [Source: Spoiler TV]
  • Sylar's plan to shake hands with the president so he can be able to shapeshift as him and take over the country continues. However, Sylar finds time to chat with Claire and tell her that she will grow to love him as they both are immortal. The episode will end with a flash-forward set three months in the future where we will see the return of a past character as well as see Sylar shape shift. Said shape shifting is said to be a real shocker. [Source: TV Guide]
  • Hiro will not be the Season 1 Hero that will die in the season finale since Bryan Fuller revealed that Hiro's storyline for season four is the best story they've come up for him. However, the "death that sticks" is definitely a male. [Source: Watch with Kristin]
  • More about the major character dying on the finale: there is a twist to the death as it is possible no one will be leaving the show. [Source: The Ausiello Files]

  • Major spoilers about Faraday so I'll put them in invisible text. You must highlight the text between the brackets to be extremely spoiled. You've been warned! [Faraday is the son of Charles Widmore and Eloise.] In other Faraday news, who we saw come out of the sub in the last new episode, he'll try to get Chang to evacuate the island by telling him the truth about the island and who Miles is. Things will turn rather dire when Faraday goes to the Other's camp to talk to Eloise. [Source: Lost Spoilers]
  • The major-ish Lost death is coming up very soon and it's more major than what was first thought. [Source: The Ausiello Files]

  • Melanie Griffith has been cast as Kimber's mother. The character, named Brandie, is described as a beautiful and considerate mother who lives in Wisconsin and decides to drop by L.A. to visit her ex-pornstar daughter. Joining her on the trip will be her boyfriend of six years Les, to be played by Robin Thomas. The latter is described as a too tanned on-again-off-again car salesman. Griffith and Thomas are set to appear in the show's seventh season. [Source: TV Guide]

Prison Break

  • According to cocreator Matt Olmstead, a returning character will come late in the game and will either save the day or hijack the whole thing. Who could that returning character be? We know that C-Note and Sofia will be back. Do you think Olmstead is referring to one of them or someone else? In other PB news, an upcoming death is so major that the show's Powers That Be had to fight with the network to actually have that person die on screen. Fight the network? I doubt they would kill Sara (again) or Michael since they want to somewhat please fans and have them wed and live happily ever after. For the bosses to fight the network over this death, I think it's Lincoln since we know T-Bag is still alive after episode 22 (he is in the extra two hours the show shot). Mahone? Maybe. I don't think they would have to fight over killing Self. Have an idea which major character will die? Share your theories in comments below. [Source: TV Guide]

Private Practice

  • Remember last week when I told you that delusional Katie (played by Amanda Foreman) would return to the practice with a weapon in the season finale? Well, turns out that she blames Violet for her unsuccessful pregnancy and demands that Violet hands her baby over as payback! It also looks like we will have to wait all summer long, that is if the show is renewed, to know who is the father of Violet's baby. [Source: KorbiTV]
  • Ausiello warns us to prepare ourselves for the most disturbing childbirth scene since Jessica Lange forced Gwyneth Paltrow to deliver her baby via an oxytocin-laced layer cake in 1998's Hush. Could this spoiler be linked to the Katie demanding that Violet hands her baby at gunpoint spoiler above? [Source: The Ausiello Files]

  • When the show returns this summer, expect episodes to revolve around the following plots: Bollywood, the Wild West, exorcism, ski, and a time-traveling clone. [Source: TV Guide's Mega Buzz]
  • In an early episode, Christine Baranski will play Alice Clayton, the well-maintained widow of a billionaire hedge fund manager who believes her husband's death in a plane crash was not accidental, but murder. [Source: The Ausiello Files]

The Unit

  • Expect the May 10 episode to be rather explosive and action packed. Amongst the action in the episode: a nuclear intrigue, drama between the Unit wives, preparations for Charles and Joss' wedding, and a Unit wife prepare to leave the life for good. [Source: TV Guide's Mega Buzz]

Ugly Betty

  • Baby William will be kidnapped and Archie will ask Hilda to be part of his latest political campaign in the May 7 episode. [Source: ABC]
  • Remember those spoilers about a wedding coming up? Well, said wedding will occur in episode "In the Stars" set to air on May 14. The impromptu wedding will occur during a photo shoot assignment Marc, Matt and Betty have to do for YETI. The episode will feature soul singer Adele. [Source: TV Guide]
  • In the season finale, Betty will run into Henry and his new girlfriend Chloe (to be played by Dream Walker). To prove themselves that they've moved on, Betty and Henry agree to go on a double date with Chloe and Matt. [Source: The Ausiello Files]

So Link would die the same way Bellick did? Ehh, I don't like that. If he's going to die, I'd rather see Michael kill him for some reason, or his mother kill him (where the last episode left off).

Also, on another note, I think the death in Lost is going to be Elizabeth Mitchell's Juliet Burke. There's no way she fits into the larger plot, she's served her purpose, and now she's just in the way of Sawyer and Kate. Plus we know Mitchell has signed on to do a new show next season.

Would they really end Prison Break without letting Michael and Sarah be together with Lincoln still alive (the whole original purpose of the show - save Linc's life)?

Since when does Meredith hate the chief of surgery? This came up somewhat randomly last night where she blames him for her family issues. That's never been the case before. Did I miss something, or are they just creating drama for drama's sake?

PB: It wouldn't surprise me if they end up killing Linc even if the point of the whole show at first was to save him. But if it's whom they kill, I hope it's in a "Linc dies in order to save other people" kind of way.

GA: Well, considering that we are entering May Sweeps and that the show's 100th episode and the season finale are approching, it's not surprising that they are creating tensions between Mer and Der somewhat out of the blue like that.

I think its going to be Ben who tries to kill Locke..... again. So smokey drop slams him like he is Mr. Eko.

Note about the Grey's spoilers. As mentioned in comments above, this week's column was written before the GA episode, therefore, included some spoilers from the episode that the spoiler sources hadn't indicated would happen this week.

I just tweaked the spoilers to remove everything that happened in last night's episode.

For some reason I'm getting a Hurley vibe on the Lost Death.Reason:The phrase "much loved" was used for this death recently.I don't think it's Juliet, her stint on V not withstanding since Lost ends next year she could easily do both till then if ahe's long term cast.

PB:I bet Gretchen is the returning character. She was shot but alive when they left her and "either save the day or hijack" is all her.

It's possible some of the Grey's spoilers aired last night. The spoilers sources were not specific as to when those events would happen or said they would happen in the April 30 episode or in May. I wrote the column last night before seeing Grey and I have yet to watch the episode so I didn't know at the time if some of those spoilers were for last night's episode.

That's what happens when you write your column ahead of time and when gossip columnist aren't specific about when events will occur.

I'll watch the episode this morning and will strikeout the spoilers that have aired once I've watched.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
