It's rare to get an actor like Lost's Michael Emerson on a network TV show. He's quirky, slightly off-kilter (I mean that in a good way), unpredictable with his line readings, and someone that can do as much with a look on his face as with a speech of 1000 words. In other words, he's a good actor.
