Spoilers Anonymous: May Sweeps Edition

by Isabelle Carreau, posted May 1st 2009 7:01PM

This is Spoilers Anonymous, a weekly column here at TV Squad where we supply you with the dirt on some of the more popular shows on the air. We'll never put spoilers up here on the main page in order to help the reformed stay unspoiled. If you have anything to add to the group, feel free to step up and let yourself be heard, either with our tips form or by emailing us at tvsquad at gmail dot com, or call and leave a message at (775) 640-8479. Your anonymity is guaranteed, if you wish to remain as such.

This week we are doing things a bit differently and offering a run down of what will happen during May for the series listed after the semi colon; note that some spoilers may have been posted in previous columns: 24, 30 Rock, 90210, Bones, Brothers & Sisters, Castle, Desperate Housewives, Fringe, Ghost Whisperer, Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, House, How I Met Your Mother, Lost, NCIS, Numb3rs, Prison Break, Smallville, Supernatural, The Big Bang Theory, The Mentalist, The Office and Ugly Betty. (SPOILERS FOLLOW!)

  • It will be no surprise to you if I warn you that Jack Bauer's day is about to get even worse, especially when the White House is divided. Kim will once again be imperiled. The rivalry between Chloe and Janis will heat up.
30 Rock
  • Jack finds his biological father. Tracy introduces his newly discovered illegitimate son to his friends. Jenna gets recognition for Liz's ideas.
  • A bridal shower for Adrianna and a bachelor party at a burlesque club for Navid are in the works. Naomi and her sister Jen decide to move in together and demand that their father releases Naomi's trust fund so they have money to support their high spending habits. Expect the two sisters to have some financial problems down the road. Jen gets closer to Ryan, even if Kelly will eventually warn him that Jen is devious. Prom night will be, as expected, an action-packed night filled with alcohol, arguments and whatnot. Adrianna will go into labor at the event.
  • Brennan decides to have a baby and asks Booth to father her child The stress of this situation mixed with Booth's undiagnosed health issue causes him to hallucinate Stewie Griffin from Family Guy. Booth and the Jeffersonian team must take roles outside of their normal duties when they must go undercover in a nightclub known as "The Lab" in the series season finale. The episode will also feature characters such as Max Keenan, Jared Booth, Zach Addy, Daisy Wick, and Caroline Julian, as well as cameos from Motley Crew, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and Vince Neil.
Brothers & Sisters
  • Tom Skerritt makes a guest star appearance when Kitty must reflect on her father's past indiscretions when it's time for her to choose to save her marriage or not. Ryan makes a discovery concerning his mother's death. Justin makes plans for the future. The family reaches out to Tommy, who is now in Mexico, but he may be unwilling to accept their help.
  • Beckett must work with her ex-boyfriend, an FBI agent, on the case of a missing two-year-old girl. When Castle joins the investigation team, both he and the ex-boyfriend battle it out to see who'll get Beckett's attention. In the finale, Castle must deal with Alexis attending her first prom and facts he discovered about Beckett's past that could end his relationship with her forever.
Desperate Housewives
  • Bree meets with a divorce lawyer. Tom wants to find ways to look younger and decides to go back to school. Katherine deceives Mike to win his heart. Jackson comes back which will have impact on both Susan and Dave. Gaby's niece moves to Wisteria Lane. Susan and MJ's lives are in danger when Dave decides to go on with his plan.
  • Olivia experiences "awake dreams" that have her see things that are not really there. Walter discusses key information about the Z.F.T. manifesto. The season finale marks the return of bioterrorist David Robert, the on-screen introduction of William Bell (to be played by Leonard Nimoy) and the disappearance of Walter.
Ghost Whisperer
  • Melinda and Jim (aka Sam) prepare for their wedding and Melinda fears for her unborn child after a visit from a ghost.
Gossip Girl
  • Blair pressures Georgina to help her in a scheme. Nate and Chuck once again face off over Blair. Lily tries to secretly help with Dan's tuition. Flashbacks of a 17-year-old Lily will serve as a test for the GG spin-off. The teens attend prom but things, as expected, don't turn out as planned.
Grey's Anatomy
  • Meredith and Derek prepare for their wedding. Izzie fears the worst when she experiences familiar symptoms (the network doesn't want to say but I'm pretty sure we'll get another Denny appearance here considering it's the 100th episode). Later, she'll decide to undergo a risky surgery. Mark wants to take his relationship with Lexie to the next level. George delivers stunning news that will create shockwaves throughout Seattle Grace.
  • House suffers from a severe lack of sleep and is still haunted by Amber. House turns to Wilson to help him diagnose what he is suffering from. Cuddy must take an unconventional approach to force house to make an appearance in the clinic.
How I Met Your Mother
  • Ted runs into an old flame. Barney satisfies his 200th "customer." In the last episode of the season, Ted celebrates his 31st birthday and gives Barney his blessing to profess his love to Robin.
  • Jake and Kate are at odds over the direction to take to save their fellow island survivors. Locke solidifies his stance as leader of "The Others."
  • Tony is forced to question Ziva's loyalty to NCIS. Ziva and the team travel to Israel. Ziva's reunion with her father is not a happy one. Gibbs will be forced to make a decision that will send shockwaves through NCIS.
  • Amita gets abducted and Lou Diamond Phillips reprises his role of Agent Ian Edgerton.
Prison Break
  • The General makes good on his threat. Michael must choose between saving either Lincoln or Sara. Familiar faces return to help Michael get Scylla and dismantle the Company once and for all. The two-hour season finale marks the returns of characters such as C-Note and Sofia.
  • Chloe begs Clark to kill Davis as he can no longer control the beast inside of him. Oliver agrees that Davis must be killed because Doomsday is a serious threat. Clark struggles with having to take a human life. Tess assembles a team of meteor freaks to track down Davis.
  • Dean and Bobby team up to lock Sam into a panic room so he can detox from the demon blood. But as more seals are being broken, Bobby suggests they let Sam out to help them fight the impending apocalypse.
The Big Bang Theory
  • Wolowitz turns to his friends when he discovers a critical flaw in his NASA project. Penny makes a surprising revelation when on a date with Stuart. Leonard and his friends decide to spend the summer working at the North Pole.
The Mentalist
  • In the last episode of the season, Lisbon fears that Red John is drawing Patrick Jane into a trap.
The Office
  • Pam and Jim take a secret trip. Michael and Holly are reunited at the annual Dunder Mifflin company picnic.
Ugly Betty
  • Baby William is kidnapped. Archie asks Hilda to be part of his latest political campaign. Betty, Marc and Matt team up for their final YETI project but Matt's slacking off could jeopardize everything. Two wedding proposals are made but only one couple will walk down the aisle this season. Claire and Wilhelmina face off when it's time to clarify their roles at Mode. As Betty agrees to move in with Matt, Henry shows up. Marc and Betty await news as to if their YETI interviews will result in actual editors jobs.

Yes, these "spoilers" all come from the official episode descriptions. I know that for some of you, this column offers nothing knew since you keep up with official descriptions and spoilers and are very current with everything. However, not everyone takes time to read the official descriptions and whatnot so this is just a rundown of the major events that will occur in the next two weeks.

iammastercook: You are correct, it's a typo on my part. Even if FOX has yet to renew BONES, the network has not advertise this episode as the series finale. It is likely that it will be renewed. The typo will be corrected as soon as possible.

These are nothing more than summaries of the press releases. I can get the same info (in fact, a lot more of it) from reading the episode guide on my TiVo. Jeez.

An official synopsis of an episode provided by the network is not a "spoiler". These are word for word synopses anyone can read. That's not new information.

Ok...I love the spoilers each week...usually. But it looks like this time all you did was take the synopsis for at least some of these off of the program guide on your DVR. For Smallville and Lost, it's almost word for word.
