Food Network teaches you how to make an omelet

by Bob Sassone, posted May 4th 2009 2:36PM
Food Network is launching a bunch of new shows on their web site Food2.com, but this one looks to be the most promising. It's based on the really fun web site/book The Amateur Gourmet, and features Adam Roberts, well, cooking food. But it's done in a more realistic way than most food shows, the way that a lot of people cook in real life. Below he teaches us how to make an omelet.

I'm so proud of Adam - it took him 3 tries but he finally started to get the hang of it. I'm also a disaster in the kitchen. My Mom taught me how to bake but not how to cook basic things - she always wanted to do it for her kids. Thank God I met & married a man who can cook really well.

A lot of these cooking shows go overboard trying to show you how 'easy' it is to cook. Well, for some of us - it's just NOT easy and we really do have to pratice so I'm glad Adam just kept at it.

Love the how-to video, but eggs and cheese alone do not an omelet make. Hellooo? Tomatoes? Mushrooms? Green pepper? Onion? A-doy!
