Who should win the Celebrity Apprentice?

by Isabelle Carreau, posted May 5th 2009 3:08PM
The Celebrity ApprenticeIf you are a fan of The Celebrity Apprentice, you should have watched Sunday's two-hour episode by now and know that Joan Rivers and Annie Duke will face off in the ultimate task.

On April 23, I asked TV Squad readers to vote in an Annie Vs Joan poll. The question was simple "Who should win the war?" At the time I write this line, 43.3% voted for Joan, 35.4% said Annie, while 21.1% opted for Trump to fire them both. That means 21.1% of you are disappointed this week, as Trump decided to make Joan and Annie the two finalists.

No matter if you like or hate Annie and/or Joan, you have to admit that out of the four contestants that were left at the beginning of the episode, those two will offer the most entertaining finale. Now that we know it's officially Joan Vs. Annie, who do you think should be hired?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Annie Duke would make a better Apprentice than Joan. Yes, Annie can't stop talking, including talking about herself, and is not that much liked by he peers, but she was a good project manager and even managed to beat Clint at making a jingle. As for Joan, she hasn't raised much money thus far, hasn't been a so-so project manager and almost quit the show. Why should she win it all when she was ready to leave when times got though for Melissa?

Even if my mind is made up, it'll be interesting to see them do the final task especially since previews showed the return of odd balls like Tom Green and Dennis Rodman.

Here I present you with two polls:
  • Who should win Celebrity Apprentice? - Meaning the person YOU want to see win.
  • Who will win Celebrity Apprentice? - Meaning the person you think TRUMP will hire.
Who should win Celebrity Apprentice?
Annie631 (56.3%)
Joan489 (43.7%)

Who will win Celebrity Apprentice?
Annie539 (50.3%)
Joan532 (49.7%)

Remember, The Celebrity Apprentice finale is a three-hour episode that starts at 8 pm on NBC this Sunday.

Donald Trump, Celebrity Apprentice, go tell who ever advertises on your show that I will not be watching. I will spread the word, and I hope the advertisers for commercials are listening. The show is supposed to sell ads, and because of this, I will not watch this show. Not worth it.

Any retard could have made that last decision. Annie Duke should have been the apprentice. Now I lost respect to Trump and will never watch his show again. "Trump your too old for this, just like joan" :P

I totally agree with Malan. Donald Trump DID get this one wrong. I can't believe he picked Joan over Annie but believe he did it for ratings. Each week, the winning team wins because they pull in the most . To change this for the finale doesn't make sense and defeats the purpose. Annie blew Joan away with what she pulled in by about 3 to 1. A higher weight should have been put on the amount of money taken in by each person. I did like Joan's layout better but didn't care for her celebrities...I didn't think of them as celebrities and Annie had more "real" celebrities than Joan anyway. The fact that Annie highlighted her charity and Joan didn't should have counted more than it did. If the amount of money you pull in doesn't carry weight than what is the purpose of raising money. When it comes down to the wire on the next season, all the two remaining celebrities have to do is put on the best show and forget raising the most money. This is not what the show is about.....the person who raises the most money should win. Besides where were all Joan's Hollywood friends with the big bucks....I guess she doesn't have any. Donald Trump is a business man and he missed the boat on this one.....BIG TIME. If it appears that the next season is going to end the same way...I will not watch.

Annie should have won. Joan was rude, disrespectful and unprofessional to both Annie Duke and Donald Trump. Her profanity and interruptions were adolescent. Donald Trump's preferential treatment of Joan Rivers was painful to watch. He clearly wanted her in the finale and clearly wanted her to win. Otherwise why did he bend and change all the rules, ones that applied to everyone else, only for her? I guess it was to promote her new upcoming show? Or because she's a good friend? Or as a tribute to an older woman who's clearly losing her mind? If that's the case then do a tribute show for her or promote her new show approritately. Joan behaved shamefully and has raised a bratty, selfish daughter who couldn't even apologize for her own obnoxious behavior. These two "role models" think calling people "pit viper whores" is perfectly accepable business practice. And Donald Trump thinks Joan Rivers behavior belongs in a board room and is exemplary of "charity"? Funny, how last season it was all about raising money, and this season the criteria changed. Hmmm...maybe it's Donald who went senile.

I thought Joan's behavior was disgusting; I have no respect for her or her trashy spoiled daughter after this show. I felt they acted like white trash and demonstrated who they are. Annie was respectful, maybe a bit directive, but she won in every way. "Bitch" as Joan says, what women has ever been successful and not called a Bitch? Who would you hire? An employee that has a better display? Or an employee that produces the most income (by more than double)? If I am hiring an employee, I want a producer...end of story. Who cares what the display looks like when you have another employee with twice the production? I want results and money keeps a company profitable. Producers earn revenue, I have had employees that put on a good show, but they loose the company money. This Apprentice was politically correct...period. I lost all respect for Donald Trump, how pathetic. Trump didn't have the balls to do what was right...he went with politically correct and favored Joan from the beginning. When did he change the rules? The show was based on production, now it is based on display and an employee that throws fits, breaks glasses, cusses like a school girl and walks off the job. I wished she had not come back to the show.
And all the insecure contestant's that didn't have the guts to stand up and vote for Annie (other than Jessie James). They were afraid of pissing off some movie star that they may need support from in the future to further their personal career. They where chicken shit! "Joan had a lot of movie star friends, let's not make them mad". If The Apprentice is base on being politically correct, they should take the show to Russia. Let's just make everyone happy and give them the same income, we don't want to upset anyone. Let's all just pretend to work so we can all pretend to get paid.

I agree with everything the others are saying. Donald was, obviously, afraid not to name Joan the winner. She and her obnoxious daughter made total fools of themselves, and showed the world their true colors. They are both loud foul-mouthed bitches, and let it all hang out for all the world to see. The only thing good to come out of this is that they are now exposed for what they really are, and a "role model" that is not, unless the role is one of "low class, disgusting women" who think they are "high class" just because they have money.
Donald, I really didn't think you were a wimp, but you proved it last night. Annie was the winner by a mile, and hope she knows it - which I think she does!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When Trump picked Rivers, he lost me as a future watcher of this show......... Why, becuase it shows that this was not about best but who he liked......
The Jews have enough problems in the Middle East with someone like Rivers making it that tougher for Jews everywhere..........
She (Rivers) was a pig and while I use to like her, she proved she a mean old lady with a horrible daughter who had an attitude worse then hers if that was possible..........
Trump, you sucked with this move and choice.........
You chose drama over class and performance and that was a Sell Out........

Donald Trump has finally lost his mind. Really, Joan Rivers a role model with that vile mouth? Not for my kids. Ivanka you're losing it too.

It's not what Joan said, it's how she said it.
Joan and her daughter conducted themselves like a street level crack dealers, they talk and act like cheap thugs. You would expect a little more out of people who are supposedly celebrities, it was embarresing to watch, they should both hide in shame.
