Bradley Cooper to play the Faceman?

by Brad Trechak, posted May 18th 2009 3:02PM
Bradley CooperOriginally the rumors had him cast as the movie version of Green Lantern, now Bradley Cooper (formerly of Alias) is in the running to play the character of Templeton "Face" Peck in the big screen version of The A-Team.

You could do a lot worse. To play Face, you have to give off a child-like charm and have an innocent, wait for it, face. While Tim Dunigan created the role in the pilot, Dirk Benedict played off the con man with big eyes and a sweet voice perfectly. I could see Cooper giving off that sort of wide-eyed innocence that I most closely associate with the character.

Of course, this casting bit is a rumor. I'm waiting for any sort of official announcement from Fox before I'd set it in stone. We don't even know who is going to portray any of the other characters either (although the Wikipedia page has Woody Harrelson in the running as Murdock, Ice Cube or Quinton Rampage Jackson as B.A. and Bruce Willis as Hannibal). We'll see how it plays out.

Great choice. Have desperately missed this actor since Alias and the swiftly-dispatched show about the chef. He would fit the role perfectly as well.

Drat, I was hoping Sackhoff would somehow be cast as Face.

LOL,.. actually, that's not a half bad idea. Hey,.. it worked for BSG. It could work for A-Team.

Willis as Hannibal would be fantasic. He'd have to wear a syrup though!
