I wonder if a show like My Boys could survive on network television. Probably not. Nothing to do with the quality of the show, but it seems like the type of show that does better on cable (in a 10:30 time slot) than it would on ABC or NBC, with all that pressure. Last night the guys went to spring training in Arizona (maybe a little late for that, but there you go).why is their season so short? why so few episodes?

As we've said before, these "open thread" posts are not reviews/recaps. They are posts done to give fans of particular shows a place to discuss the episodes. There are some shows that we don't review, and My Boys is one of those shows.

This is because readers complained that we don't cover certain shows or give people a place to comment about them. This gives people that place. So either we are going to have these open thread posts or the shows won't get covered.
And, no, I can't hire people to just do reviews for this show, or any other show we don't cover, for that matter. I appreciate all the volunteers we've gotten, but, unfortunately, that's not the way things work around here. We hire people just like any publication would, and right now we're pretty full up as far as staff is concerned.
