Andy Richter gets the best of Norm MacDonald
So I finally saw this and thought it was hilarious like everyone else who made comments.

Whoosh! Right over your head.
Yeah, it's corny...that's the point. It's like a clean prime time version of "the Aristocrats" joke. The joke doesn't matter...the delivery does.
funny, ken tucker at EW.com wrote this morning about how great norm was, calling him a national treasure. http://watching-tv.ew.com/2009/06/conan-obrien-norm-macdonald-.html . just sayin.

See, on the old "Late Night" show, when Andy was still side-kick and Norm was on "SNL" (thus appearing on the show frequently), Norm would frequently deride Andy. It was funny then, and it was great that with Andy back, he continued it last night.
Norm's schtick is (especially lately) is intentionally telling bad jokes tongue in cheek. (See his bit on Comedy Central's Bob Saget Roast). I, for one, find it as hilarious as Conan did and love just about every word out of Norm's mouth. Anyway...point being that he knew he was telling bad jokes last night.

It is almost as if he is subtly taking shots at the audience and viewers and Conan. He gets pleasure making people be fake. They fake laugh at this garbage as if he were trying to be serious and that's what's funny... for me at least.
Andy Richter will never be as funny as Norm Macdonald, no matter whose coattails he's riding.
