OMG! American Idol auditions have begun!

Idol auditionsIt seems like it was just a few weeks ago that Kris Allen was crowned the new American Idol champion (it was), but auditions for the next season have already begun! As this photo from The Boston Herald shows, contestants had to stand out in the rain at Gillette Stadium (home of the New England Patriots). This is the first of seven cities where auditions will be held. (There's also video at the link above, where you can see one or two singers that might have their dreams crushed.)

I have to wonder how A I producers are going to stop the mass texting next season? That is an issue they have to fix. It was such an in your face /cheat this year.
I love the show and it really does help artist to be seen.
I want to tune in the next season but i hate to be cheated. Just like the rest of America. Reaction to cheating was spot on. Many kris fans thinks the reaction was against kris. No way. it was against the way his family and followers and ex danny fans made a real effort to cheat. straight up cheating occured from kris's camp and danny's fan said he (danny) asked that his fans go against adam reguardless if it was kris or allisson. OMG!
Sounds like a scam to me. Messed up the whole season.
Reguardless who u wanted to win.

It doesn't matter. The finale voting has long ago (always?) been about popularity rather than talent. There's absolutely no way Adam would've lost, if people voted for talent.

Ultimately there's really no benefit of actually winning the contest compared to coming second, as past seasons have proven.
