Janice Dickinson and Holly Montag Voted Off 'I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here'

by Katy Kroll, posted Jun 19th 2009 7:30PM
This week on 'I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here,' Janice Dickinson and Holly Montag got the boot, leaving six stars to duke it out in next week's finals.

As the younger sister of Heidi from 'The Hills,' Holly surprised the rest of the camp when she came in as a replacement after Heidi and Spencer Pratt left the show for good. She quickly proved to be more resourceful than her sibling -- and played well with the others. She even cozied up to Sanjaya Malakar, sparking rumors of a romance.

Janice, on the other hand, rubbed everyone the wrong way -- name-dropping, stealing things, eating everyone else's food and urinating on the ground right next to her bed.

Holly, will you go on a date with Sanjaya after the show ends?
Holly: I don't know. We'll see about that. I'm kinda liking this Sanjolly nickname. We're just best friends, and that's where we're keeping it for now. He's a very attractive person. He's talented, he's great looking. He's got all the qualities any girl would be attracted to. We got very, very close, but nothing romantic. It's not very private in the jungle.

Janice, what was that argument you and John Salley had over the zucchini and broccoli all about?
Janice: You want the truth? John Salley is there to promote a cooking show and brand his recent induction into veganism. I was a vegan for 25 years, I know how to eat. I had problems on the show because of all my injections for malaria. And to eat rice for two straights weeks, it'll plug anyone up. So the doctor ordered that I get green veggies. He wouldn't let me near anything. I can out-cook anyone in the world. Get me a show.

And what's the story behind you urinating in camp?
Janice: I'm menopausing. I have two teenage children. It's hard to hold it in. I was well aware that there were cameras everywhere. I have night blindness and the bathroom area was a good 250 feet away from our sleeping area and I am deathly afraid of snakes, rats, crocodiles and anything else that crawls in the night. When you gotta go, you gotta go.

Was what we saw a good representation of who you really are, Janice?
Janice: There was no acting on my part. I'm not an actress. A good representation? Yes, that's who I am.

Were you guys surprised by how Heidi and Spencer acted on the show?
Janice: They didn't upset me.
Holly: I think there was a big disconnect there. When they came back in I think Heidi felt ganged up on. She's more sensitive than she lets on. I think she really wanted to go in and make friends and have a great experience. To come back and think you're being made fun of behind your back and people are destroying your personal property, it's upsetting. Especially when you're out of your element in such extreme circumstances.

When you joined the cast, Holly, did you feel like you had to work extra hard or act a certain way to prove you weren't like them?
Holly: Not necessarily that I wasn't like them. My biggest fear going in wasn't the animals or the jungle. It wasn't anything like that. I was just worried about coming into a situation where this group had already bonded and there was already a dynamic. I wanted to come in and prove that I deserved to be there and would work hard. I tried my best to fit in and not step on anybody's toes.

Do you think there's a disconnect between Heidi's supposed Christian values and the fact that she's posing for Playboy?
Janice: [Laughs]
Holly: I don't think that the Lord judges anything or anybody. It's between her and God. I don't know. She's not doing it nude. That's a weird question.
Janice: I have to come to her defense. I did Playboy in 1982 and I've done semi-nudes for every magazine on earth. Heidi is a devout, very spiritual lady and I doubt very seriously that she's going to be a centerfold.
Holly: She's going to do it very tastefully. I don't think it's a problem at all. I think it's going to be gorgeous.

What got to you guys the most out there?
Holly: The one thing that got to me was Sanjaya's little second wind that he would get every night when we were all getting ready to go to bed. When we were all getting sleepy all of a sudden he would get this burst of energy and start singing and talking. He'd come over and shake my hammock and want to talk. I'd be like, "Dude, it's bedtime. It's been a long day." It was very endearing and it's great in retrospect. But at the time I was really tired. [Laughs]
Janice: He drove me insane.
