The entire Seinfeld cast will appear on Curb Your Enthusiasm -- including Michael Richards
It's been a good long while since Michael Richards has been on television. If you don't know the reason why, then you either don't watch TV or you've been frozen since 1952 and had your body reanimated to combat the deadly disease for which you've found a secret cure. If it's the second option, then stop being so selfish and share your cure with the world. Stop being so cold, no pun intended.
2009 could mark the beginning of Richards' comeback, as he and the rest of his Seinfeld pals will make an appearance during the new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Larry David told The Hollywood Reporter that Richards has really mellowed out since his breakdown and described him as a "new man." He's been undergoing spiritual treatments in Cambodia since his breakdown at the Laugh Factory and his apology on David Letterman's Late Show. Is there anyone who hasn't apologized on Dave's show? Since the Palins' "Joke-gate" travesty, the Late Show is starting to become the Costco of television apologies.
It will be interesting to see how David and company write Richards' least shining moment into the story, if at all. I imagine that if they didn't, it would feel like the elephant in the room they're avoiding if they ignore it completely, whether Richards is playing himself or just another schlub in Larry's life. Even if they don't, it will be interesting to see what situation they put him and the rest of the old cast into the show.
