Jessica Simpson lands a new reality show gig on VH1, Ed McMahon passes away at 86, FX picks up the TV rights to 'The Proposal' and more TV news.Jessica SimpsonJessica Simpson will host VH1's 'The Price of Beauty.' The new reality series, set for a 2010 premiere, will send Simpson around the world to meet local everyday women and study their clothing, beauty secrets and food fads. Ed McMahonTV icon Ed McMahon has passed away. The 'Tonight Show' sidekick died around midnight at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center after suffering from a number of health problems, including bone cancer. He was 86. [PopEater]


Sandra BullockFX has just picked up the TV rights to a number of big-screen hits. Among the titles you'll see: 'The Proposal,' starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, 'Adventureland' and the Denzel Washington/John Travolta remake of 'The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3.' [Hollywood Reporter]


Andy CohenBravo has greenlit 'Watch What Happens: Live,' a new show that will highlight the network's biggest reality show moments of the week. The show will be hosted by Andy Cohen, and will include interviews with Bravo reality show stars and guests "from the world of entertainment." 'Live' premieres July 16 at midnight.
